If you've ever watched the show, they rarely actually show how something is made--unless it's something edible. The show should have been called, "How It's Assembled."

The only problem with brass as a boiler is that it will suffer De-Zincification over time which makes the brass porous when we build our boilers we use 660 bronze to make the fittings and full copper for the jacket tubesheet crownsheet and flues and silver solder now these are very nice models I give them that :D

It’s more just a joke about the appearance and functions of Trevor and Mamod.

I like the larger scale models like 1"scale and up they have double acting cylinders and the real final drives.

Without differentials the wheels will slide. Are there any models that have differentials?

Not its not,I'm stating that "Their soldering is crap" which is not "They are or they're",read it again. The soldering belongs to them therefore it is "Their soldering" if they were in the process of soldering then it would be "They are (or they're) soldering the boiler"

I'm guessing these engines use pellets to boil the water. One has to special order the pellets.

The last Mamod I had was powered by mineral spirits. Available in any hardware store. The Wilesco engines take fuel pellets. The Mamod engines are also much better made than the Wilesco.

Their soldering on the pipes into the boiler needs much to be desired, when he solers it,it only goes round one side of the pipe.engines shown later are just as bad,if worse!
