The last time I went it was open but the cafe was closed. It closed for a few years before unfortunately. I have no idea why. It only takes one member of staff to keep it open.
One thing I haven't seen you mention (sorry if I missed it) is that you can now get surgical masks from farmacias on production of your health card. My farmacia lets you have two per card every week. The cost has been set by the Spanish Government as maximum 90 cents each mask. Hope this helps someone.

I absolutely love Fuerteventura. I first came across the island when I discovered the wreck of the American Star (which is no longer around) and I quickly got to appreciate the timeless beauty of this island.
Wonderful footage dear sir. I've been three times to Fuerte, mid 90's (for surfing) once and twice early 00's.While i liked the island, i also found that it gave the expression "island fever" or "cabin fever" some meaning.Something about the barren landscape and emptiness...:) You must have gone through such periods i imagine.The towns on the island are all incredibly small. Going to Lanzarote was almost like coming to New York or so it felt!I guess you get used to it. Cheers!

Hey ! Very geat video ! What would you say about Puerto del Rosario ? I'm going first week of Februay to Fuerteventura and I was thinking to stay there and use buses from there since I don't drive.
The aerial footage is stock video I paid for. I considered getting a drone myself but decided against it. I use Adobe Premiere Elements and am slowly moving to Davinci Resolve.

Hi Mark. I am afraid I don't know Caleta well enough to know if there are any vegetarian restaurants. I just did a quick search and didn't come across any purely vegetarian although many seem to have vegetarian options. Good luck with finding somewhere and have a great holiday.

Hi I'm staying in the occidental jandia playa in Sept this year it looks far from the airport what shopping malls are there please and how far are they from my hotel thanks
You will be at least an hour from the airport. There are some tourist shops in Morro Jable, a walk from your hotel, but the only shopping mall in Fuerteventura is in Puerto del Rosario (the capital). Fuerteventura is not a shoppers paradise.
We both had Spanish lessons, not with a school but an independent teacher who is very good. My Spanish is not so great but Sue's is good. Sadly, my brain is wired for maths, problem solving etc not for retaining thousands of words that I may never actually use. I struggled with learning Russian at school too. Just send me a message and I would be happy to put you in touch with our teacher.
It depends where you live. In Caleta de Fuste you probably could as it is a very British resort. Just a smattering of Spanish certainly helps. For any comlicated things in Spanish, such as dealing with bureaucracy, there are people you can use to help.

JP, may I please use the kite scene for my video? The one I am working on is - 10 Things Children Accidentally Bought Online. A toddler girl, Ella O'Connor, was playing on her mom's computer. Mom had been looking for flights to Fuerteventura. Ella accidentally bought tickets from Fuerteventura back to Manchester! Mom called the airline and the clerk said she could cancel, but there was a cancellation fee. Mom decided the price was a good deal. So she booked flights to Fuerteventura and found a hotel. This is a true story! I read several articles about this, with a photo of little Ella.

@@keithsmith7185 The coach will probably stop at many hotels along the way, which is why it will take longer. There will be some shops like that.

We both had Spanish lessons, not with a school but an independent teacher who is very good. My Spanish is not so great but Sue's is good. Sadly, my brain is wired for maths, problem solving etc not for retaining thousands of words that I may never actually use. I struggled with learning Russian at school too. Just send me a message and I would be happy to put you in touch with our teacher.

It depends where you live. In Caleta de Fuste you probably could as it is a very British resort. Just a smattering of Spanish certainly helps. For any comlicated things in Spanish, such as dealing with bureaucracy, there are people you can use to help.

The one I am working on is - 10 Things Children Accidentally Bought Online. A toddler girl, Ella O'Connor, was playing on her mom's computer. Mom had been looking for flights to Fuerteventura. Ella accidentally bought tickets from Fuerteventura back to Manchester! Mom called the airline and the clerk said she could cancel, but there was a cancellation fee. Mom decided the price was a good deal. So she booked flights to Fuerteventura and found a hotel.
This is a true story! I read several articles about this, with a photo of little Ella.
