11:58 i haven't heard that specifically but i do know that some characters like crash doom guy master chief sora waluigi eggman (unfortunately) in my eyes are talked about way too much leaving no room for creative choices and it's literally just an echo chamber used to fish for views. My problem is that it gets repetitive and people aren't creative with their prediction as 99% say the exact same 5-10 character while there are plenty of other good if not, better choices as you mentioned :D

The biggest problems with the sword fighters: in a game with 80 characters- we only have one wrestler, one boxer, one-and-a-half karate-fighter. No spear-wielder, no spear-wielder, no club/morning star-wielder, no scythe-wielder, no staff-wielder, no tomahawk-wielder, no sai-wielder....... Hell, not even a Rapier-wielder!! Which is a type of sword, but with a very different fighting style. The “Swordies” in Smash are all either broadsword or short sword fighters. That’s it.
Because hero’s are seen with broadswords not a scythe or a spear or a club. I can’t begin to think about a game main character who’s primary weapon is a spear or a club. This is not counting main characters who’s weapon change from a sword to a scythe or something like that.
@@Luis_Alvarez17 Nintendo has two highly requested spear users: Bandana Waddle Dee and Krystal.
Staff-wielded should definitely be Goku from Famicom Mukashibanashi: Yūyūki.
There are plenty of hero characters who have a scythe, but you’re right, there are more memorable villains they could go with: Death from Castlevania, Magus from Chrono Trigger and Marluxia from Kingdom Hearts.
Joe and Mac, Prehistorik Man, Big Nose and Congo’s Caper are all club-wielders.
For sais, the biggest video game character is obviously Mileena.
None of these characters are out of Sakurai’s reach.
@@IAMTHESTARMAN I said main characters not minions and such which I know have a wide range of weapons it’s mostly hero’s who have the swords and they get in more than minions and the sort.
@@Luis_Alvarez17 They don’t have to be main characters. The point is to make UNIQUE characters. Sakurai has said this time and and time again.
Mileena is just as relevant to MK as Min Min is to Arms, Bandana Waddle Dee is just as relevant as Piranha Plant to minions, Magus is just as relevant as Wolf to anti-heroes.
And all those club and staff characters I mentioned? All main characters.
@@IAMTHESTARMAN no I was just stating I was using main characters for an example of sword users and using my opinion they have more likely chances than side characters or anti-hero’s or minions. Also I never heard of those club and staff main characters I was just using memory.

I mean I see your point, but Nintendo smash bros is also known for going far and beyond with choosing loved characters from every console, regardless of a rival console. And seeing a first party does feel pretty disappointing
Idolmaster would be a big curveball choice for a third-party DLC character because we currently don't have an idol archetype in the roster, and the series is massively popular in Japan.
