Thanks for the kind Words!… I do love it!☺️
all the best ben to you and family. great vids all ways watch them
Thank you for the support.. appreciate it.
At least they have heating /water and food they should be ok, my two live in the living room, bless them
Emma wouldn’t let me take them in!🤣… maybe down the shed!🤔
Hello Ben nice video again!!!! 👍👍👍
Thank you!😬
Hi Ben, been watching your videos for a while now and like the aviary very much, with regards to the heating in very cold conditions my misses suggested using clear plastic roller blinds for overnight use 😉fitted on the outside of the aviary 👍
That’s actually a really good idea!.. I’ll look into that thank you.
Your welcome Ben, I made the roller for our rabbit hutch we had years ago and it worked a treat for them, it just had a wooden broom handle at the end of the plastic to act as the weight to keep it taught so it hung close to the front of the hutch 👍
Hi Ben it's nt the cold that kill birds it's the draught, good to hear your wife is on the mend
Thank you.
If you do do the inside bit put nice boxes in there and they will stay in there overnight

Thanks.
Bless lucky lol , I think you would be wasting electric on the tube heater as it’s a open aviary , I don’t use heating in mine but they go into a insulated shed at night , still get the odd bird that sleeps out in the flight . I had to use a 200w ceramic bulb in my shed to keep it above 5c but used to much electricity so I’ve brought my pair of heck’s finches in the house for the winter, my zebs are fine without heat but I have used clear corrugated plastic roof sheets round the outside.
That’s pretty much why I don’t use the tube heater… they are pretty fine tbh and don’t seem to care too much at all.
@@bstrippy1664 on some of the coldest days last year my zebra finches where bathing in water lol , they are pretty hardy birds .
@@janestebbings2920 mine too… madness!..😀
I don't think the cold bothers the budgies they been bred for gens in the UK now and are pretty hardy things never heated my budgies never lost any, with my ringnecks and conures I add heat through December to end of Feb that's it , I'd say save ya money on the electric mate and spend it on some extra food and electrolytes vitamins etc
Hi Ben. I have the same heating tube in my aviary cage but it not giving much heat, what should I do is there any settings to bring out heat
Hi, thanks for the message to be honest mine is exactly the same it doesn’t really eat at all. It’s just a waste of mine isn’t even wired anymore
The birds are quite hardy and I haven’t lost a bird for nearly 4 winters they just huddle up and deal with it.
Can you let me know if you have an open front to the aviary? and can you also tell me how warm the heaters keep the aviary through the winter or what is the coldest it has been as I'm looking to get some zebra finch to add into my Japanese quail aviary thank you 😋
Yes the front is open all the time but faces away from the wind… in all honesty the aviary doesn’t get warm so I switched it off… the zebs and the quails manage very well… I have had temps down to -8 with no issues.
Hi. Ive been watching some of ur video's. Planning on building shed for breeding but with access to outdoor aviary. Which birds can i mix with cockatiels
Hello mate… good luck with the build!.. I have had budgies and cockatiels together in the past and even canaries and finches too… mainly just budgies and tiels together tho… less fighting.
Are you related to John Lyndon because you are as funny as him , hope that don't offend you Ben I think John is a good man
Lol… no I’m not.. or at least I don’t think I am?..🤔… thanks for the kind words tho!😀
What the hell did he say?
Hey, your daughter wants her hat back.
