I have a 2018, PHEV, 40,000km, no problems until now.
Awesome. Touch wood I had this X5 for 10k kms without any issues
I happened to come across a 2016 model with around 50k km mileage going for around RM130+k. Such an amazing car and with the price tag it’s really attractive! Just really worry about the maintenance part.
You can't escape the maintenance, It's a BMW after all. But personally for me, for the car size and safety and design. That's a win already. Brand prestige also comes into the factor but that's least of my priority.

2018 40e because can do the last warranty with BMW
First of all thank you for the information which is helpful. Why is there a need for 6 spark plugs when there is only 4 cylinders engine? Additionally how are you rotating the tires as these are staggered ie. 285/45 and 255/50 fronts. I have never rotated the tires ( on my second set ) as they are asymmetrical. Maybe you have different brand type from what I have.
Errors, sometimes forgotten it's 4 cylinders. lol. You can't swap between the front and rear. Just left to right if your tire is bi-directional.

Another think is , will u go to modify the chassis? Coz is too much body roll when driving. I m looking for install anti roll bar stage 2😂

Hello chester, i saw a used 2017 BMW X5 40e run 58K KM hybrid , the battery has 2 more year warranty priced at 165k. Surprisingly same color and feature as you shown in video.
I am concerned about maintenence cost too..will this be a good buy at least for next 5 years without a lot of expenses
If that car has done the last warranty claims from BMW then you're unlikely to dace any major issues with the car for next 4-5 years down the road. Not going to sugar coat it, but maintenance for X5 especially "hybrid" will definitely be lot more higher than your regular 3 series or even 5 series. But overall for the price of the used car and the size of the car, why not... hahahaha

Sir we just recently purchased the same exact vehicle 44k miles 2018 ,same exterior color but black interior. My question is related to wheel size. My set up is 19” same style as yours but square .Are your rear wheels staggered or just a bigger tire on the same wheel? I want a staggered look. It’s just looks better. What

Thinking of buying one, mileage less 50k, year 2017. The car dealer said can give warranty for 1+2 years, cover major issues, battery RM5k per year. Have you heard such extended warranty?
Those are 3rd party warranty. But the only back draw is that, if there are any claims for the hybrid battery, they will source a used battery cell for the replacement. In short, you won't get a new replacement
Sir, I plan to get X5 second hand 2018 or 2019 within 110k budget. Please advise how to inspect the car is in good condition and what required to standby after purchase.
Since this 40e is much more complicated X5 and if you really want to get this model. Bring them to your local foremen for a physical and diagnostic check. Just your surface check may not be sufficient, if you want to play safe
I have some problems with transmission , flyweel hausing and Torsional vibration damper . Do you have some problems with that? Mine is 2016 40e
