Was just here in July. Proposed to my fiancé within 100 yards of the chair. It will forever be a memory and moment in my life that ill cherish. Unfortunately she left me 2 months after and it hurts daily. I come watch videos of Puerto Rico because it gives me some peace and sense of now as if she is with me. I love that woman more than life itself. I hope whoever visits PR comes to this area because it truly is a sight to see.

We just went (June 2023) and the property owner wanted ten dollars a person to walk on his property. Money not going towards preservation or anything, just to access it via his property. We turned around and went to the beach.

For anyone that doesn't know- The man does not own the rock formation in anyway, and you do not need his permission to go to it. It is a nature reserve managed and owned by the government of Puerto Rico. He owns a parking lot that gives easier access to it, but you do not have to park there to see go to it.
Imagine if someone bought land next to a Walmart, and parking on it gets you closer to the entrance, but you have to pay to park on thier land. They do not in anyway own the Walmart and you do not need their permission to go to it. That is what he did. He bought land next to the rocks, and he charges for parking, but he does not own the rock formation. There are other places to park, but it is a longer walk. You can find youtube videos of people using alternative parking.

A few hundred years ago, this landscape may have looked different. I am sure the ocean claimed a lot of the rocks. Such a fascinating area. I never knew it was there, and I was in Arecibo in June of 2017.

I don't know if I would be so brave to stand near the edge of the rocks. It is definitely a beautiful place.

I am going to PR in 4 days and thinking to stop here. How much $ to enter the park? Is it a self-guided park as far as walking?
