I have a soyo m2 mini... early model a bit diff from the one featured... mine has a n3350 or something like that 6gb ram and 64gb emmc. have not found a use for it lol... did put linux on it but still not sure what to do with it
Ha such an extreme comparison. The best value productivity type machines to me right now are the 7735HS type machines for around $300 if you don't need a lot of gaming performance. The single threaded performance is just so much higher. The little cheap N100 machines are good for file servers.
Didn't Soyo release a prototype AI 370 powered mini to reviewers? It was called the S9. It was supposed to be for sale last August but it's still vaporware in late December. I wonder what the hold-up is?
I guess one other advantage of the cheapest is that if someone steals it, it's not as big of a deal as the most expensive. Speaking of which, I think it's an outrage for such a high price to not come with an oculink connection. I realize part of the problem for the price is AMD, but having an oculink connection with this very good CPU, would make it a more tolerable offer.
The most expensive Mini Pc would be a fully configured Apple Mac Mini Pro with 64 GB RAM, 14 core CPU 20 core GPU and 8 TB of storage that costs $ 4269
Can you try to get the SOYO N100 mini? It's probably one of the cheaper N100s, got it for family some time ago, I wonder how it compares against others. And you can change its fan curve!
Maybe they mean browser gaming. Farmville is still a thing yea? The fact for $60 you can get Win 11 and it runs is enough I think? Just for a senior for emails, youtube and AARP browser games?
Now for fun, you should've installed lightweight linux on the cheap PC - then see which was more responsive.
obviously the minis would still be faster.
"slide show participation" very funny. nice job as always
This is, obvioisly, totally pointless, but a lot of fun, thanks for it.
Love your T-Shirt. I used to play that game specifically to enjoy the soundtrack!
WE HAVE EXPLOSIVE!

If using an external usb drive/enclosure/das it could be a low power storage server. Or networking wise, host pihole.

Soyo can be useful as a Home Assistant server.. but maybe a pi5 would be even better for the same price.

Finally two equals compared.
Struggling with solitaire 😂🤣
E waste
Soyo nadal istnieje!!!. Moja pierwsza płyta główna dla Intel 486SX została zrobiona przez Soyo.
$1,100 is the most expensive? Psh. Try a fully upgraded mac mini.
Lol, Soyo hasn't been around for almost 20 years.
Somebody in Chyna liked the name I'll bet.
i think that the beelink ser9 is a better value than this minisforum
Sure is. This one's more expensive so it got picked.
The G3 GMKtec is a much better value than either of those.

Only if you don't like them very much. Otherwise you'd get them at least an N95.
@@Robtech I'm a senior and if my i7-8086K gets to slow I'll get me a Beelink and not with some lowball Intel processor either.
spyware.
For $1100 , I’d by the HP mini with an i5 for under a $1000. Good information video. 👍
Intel N4000 must be 40 times better than the Intel N100. It's simple math.
Not true, they're both different families and the N100 is considerably faster with more of everything.
