I usually don’t like mezco figures cause I feel like they’re chonk bodies and clothes make them looks stubby. Though for wolverine, I think it works so well since he’s already so short!👏👏

Oh man. I didn't even think of Weapon X. That would be insane. Specifically with pod like the original Marvel Legends. Mezco would kill that.

Looks amazing! Can’t wait to get it in-hand. Only thing I wish they’d included is an alternative flesh coloured neck to use for the unmasked heads, as it looks kind of odd having a yellow neck when the hood is down.
Ya I can see that. It doesn't look as natural.
Yeah, that's one thing literally every company doesn't get right. The good thing with the Mafex ones, you can use an extra flesh coloured neck (like the Hush Bruce Wayne one) to make it accurate. Definitely don't have that option when dealing with Hasbro unfortunately - and certainly don't have any necks I could use on a Mezco.
Why dont you just buy some extra Mezco flesh necks! That's what I did to solve the mask down problem! U can buy them all over

He don’t look to bad. Nice to see mezco getting a bit better with human proportions cos I find they always look so off, always look so short and stumpy and not very realistic or even a stylised proportion

I found a good deal on this Wolverine and on the fence because at the same time sideshows also has theirs on sale. The 1/6 scale figure does look better somewhat and have better proportions for my taste.
But Mezco is throwing in so many good stuff with multiple heads and Sentinel base.... It's a tough call
I got mine today and it is soooo good, I wish there wasn't a 2 year wait but I think it was worth it

Oh, that's a shame about the ball pegs being different sizes. I was hoping to use the classic head on the older body since the tiger stripes are move of an odd design like his first appearance (even if everything else looks more modern on it.)
This is officially going to be my last Mezco product, so I’m glad it’s a good’n. I’m done with all the recolors, as well as non-refundable deposits for figures that take years to arrive.
I'm going to get this, but I think I'll be the very last person to get it, because I got lucky I was able to preorder it right before it went back to waitlist last week. This figure looks AMAZING! Might sell the sentinel base, tho.
10:11 I've been wondering this whole time how those affect pieces work - cause Mezco never explained...so it's awesome to finally find out! Since I have the previous tiger stripe one, my main reason getting this was for those slashing effects to use with my Mafex ones (Marvel vs Capcom display). I hope those holes are compatible, and the weight doesn't snap the claws off.
I was actually worried about the weight as well but I'm pretty sure they'll be fine with other lines.

4:37 do you ever find it odd how Wolverine's bone claws are rounded like bone, but when they're coated with adamantium they suddenly become completely flat like katana blades?
Yep. And as he was originally conceived, they were housed in his gloves, not in his body at all. Byrne decided that would be stupid, as anyone could take his gloves and become Wolverine, so he had them coming out of his body.

I love almost everything about the new Wolverine figure but I still prefer the broader body on the older Wolverine. New one looks too skinny imo.
I totally understand that. But I think this one isn't meant to be the modern take on Wolverine as he wasn't always drawn as stocky. This is meant to be an overall Wolverine from classic to modern.
@BATBOMB 82 do u know if that base sentinel's head is rouglhy the same size as the Haslab Sentinel head? I'm seriously considering getting several of these just for the Sentinel base if they're size compatible with my Haslab Sentinel
I believe this base runs smaller then the Haslab.
I just started collecting Mezco. So I have this on pre order do you think they will go and re make the others that have been released like Magneto Cyclops or gambit? Cause I would love to start an X-Men collection from Mezco
Maybe a few years down the line. But you really should get the current Gambit. He's pretty awesome.

Considering that was one of Mezco's most popular figures to date, I can easily see that happening.

New one looks a little thinner I do prefer the bulky body type but definitely an improvement
From what I can tell, it is a new buck but the only parts that are actually bulkier are the thighs. So that's likely what's giving it the overall bulky look. Everything else is pretty much the same as far as size goes.

So I was charged about two weeks ago from Mezco, and have yet to receive a tracking number. It still shows "processing." I sent them an email a week ago politely asking what's going on, but never got a reply. So I don't know if this is a normal thing with them charging you for an item and taking over two weeks to mail it off? I'm just really excited to get it, so the not knowing if I ever will get it is what sucks.
Same here! Except I paid with PayPal express. So I already paid the full amount. But mine still says processing 🙃

Yeah that sucks man. So later on after leaving that comment I got a FedEx email saying it's shipped. But that's only because I have a FedEx account, so they send me about 17 emails every time a package is mailed off. I'm sure if I went on Mezco's site, it'd still say processing. Hopefully yours and mine will be in-hand by the end of next week.

Nice review! The figure looks awesome but the shoulder pads are an eyesore when you look at them from the side.
I like the older body, it looks more muscular but overall I always prefer the classic look.
The older one definitely feels stocky which fits Wolverine a little better.
Debating if I should get this 🤔!!!!

7:42 Just a little constructive criticism with the line - I was hoping early on with One:12's they'd stop sculpting the mouths so far below the nose. It gives them a bit of a monkey look. That and they've always made the heads disproportionately large. I've never heard Mezco being a company that listens to collectors, but I don't think many ppl ever point out these issues that aren't prevalent with other figure companies. Not at all saying it isn't in the top 2 best tiger stripe Wolverine figures ever, I just wish they'd fix those easily remedied issues.
Almost everything looks fantastic except the brown hair on the unmasked heads.
It should have been black.
I get they've gone for a more natural brown tone to channel a bit of the Hugh Jackman look inti the sculpts but even then it's far too light a brown.
With so many nods towards the Jim Lee/90's cartoon representation of Wolverine I can't really understand the logic here in not sticking true to his black hair in those interpretations.
Tbh... didn't even notice that. Now I can't unsee the brown hair. Lol

Ya exactly how I feel which is why I showed it. That was my first instinct to use the new heads on older figures. Not really sure why they changed the size of the neck peg.

The black belt and bones claws make zero sense being that he’s never had those in his tiger stripe costume. Instead they should have included maybe a battle damaged Logan head.
Ya the black belt throws me a little bit I'm pretty sure they weren't going for comic accuracy. Mezco almost always like to add their own flair.
Mezco start doing toe pivots for that kind of money.

What I noticed from this comparison is the original Tiger Striped Wolverine looks a bit chunkier than the newer version. And frankly, I like the original Tiger striped outfit (except for the boots and Cowl) over the new as well🤓
