Absolutely the last thing that gets packed up is the rods, everything else is in the truck before the rods come out of the water. Great Video !!! Great Tips!!
Hi Aaron. It seems like nobody has noticed but me. I am sorry for what you have been going through stay strong man keep doing what you love don’t let it affect you too much. Thank you for putting smiles on all of our faces keep the smile on yours
I love the fish and instructional inputs, to many are just fish on, next fish, another fish, but adding content of safety, cleaning, cooking, and more is awesome! Great content and channel Aaron. ✌
You're the only Angler I watch anymore man! Not worried about flexing. Just in it for the fishing and spreading that love and knowledge. Love your content! Gotta wait until Feb for ice fishing here in NFLD, but im always binging Uncut ice fishing videos.
Seriously, my favourite catch and cook video thus far. You killed me laughing and I enjoy your honesty! Truly refreshing and congrats on your first ice fish of the season!
Man, so pumped to see this and sooo looking forward to this ice fishing season! God bless you and all the fellow angler's out there this ice season. Be safe, be smart, and have fun yall!!!!
Many of fishing trips have ended with everyone watching me try to get those last couple minutes out of it in pitch dark while everyone else has their rods broken down or packed away.
You gotta be one of the most entertaining dudes on You Tube. You Ozzy Man and an old fishing show I used to watch starring Fish Fishburn. Keep em coming Its better than TV. I gotta call you Jack, as in Jack Black.
I learned to fish this year and was nervous about what winter would bring. Now I know, a whole new set of gear to ice fish! Great video. I know how much goes into them!
@@TandCGarages As Kurtis says: For those who would like a meal the Rainbows can still be kept. The regulations simply state: "Lac du Bonnet Ponds - all brown trout and tiger trout must be released." - from their website if anyone else is curious. ldbwildlifeassociation.com/updates.htm
Two things: 1.)I asked my sons last night, do you want to wake up early and go hunting or sleep in and wake up and watch fishing videos? They said let’s watch fishing videos!! Then I realized Aaron posted!!! 2.) Aaron can go fishing in a stocked pond catch one fish and be more entertaining than other guys catching 50 inch muskies on other channels!!
Tip from my Grandfather, a man who wrote his name in the book on the top of Mt. Whitney in Ca. on his 72nd birthday. Remove the head and gut the fish... fry in butter crisping up both sides. Once cooked and crispy skinned, lift the tail and using a fork pull down on the meat on the underside, the bones will stay with the tail (mostly) flip it over and do the same.... now scrape across the chest area and the row of 6 or 7 rib bones are removed.... the rest is bone free and heavenly !... thanks for your great channel.. Jon O in Idaho
Shallow water is the best man, I caught fish in holes where I can literally touch the bottom putting my hand down the hole lol. But 6 feet or less and just before dark its prime time! Beast video man!
I think the dislikes are because of the sign that says "please practice catch and release". not too sure what that means as it doesn't say "catch and release only" I think it just encourages people to release fish but you can keep some if you need to. great video Aaron!!! keep em coming!
I enjoy that you checked its gut to see what it has been eating. I catch many, many trout on minnow imitations but I also catch many on tiny nymphs and invertebrates.
I am from Michigan and catch a lot of trout. I have never done fillets. I tried it and I dont think I will eat a trout any other way now!! Amazing! Thank you.
Nice to see you out and about Mr. A Weibe! As you may know, the “mud” flavour is related to a naturally occurring compound released into the water by some types of algae as they decompose. As water temps drop, the fish don’t metabolize as much and the flavour is more prevalent. The compound is: GEOSMIN. (As I understand it) So it is not the fish, but their environment that makes the flavour. Anyway, thank you for showing how to debone a trout, I’ve struggled with that for years. You laid it out perfectly. I’ve cooked trout with the same spice and onions and my mouth was watering as you dangled that first bite for the camera. I look forward to more hard water vids. Tight lines!
Love my jaw jacker. A little pricey, so I only have one, but it works well. I’m curious about the automatic jigger, but not enough to pay what they want for it. Maybe if I lived somewhere with more ice, but not for the handful of times a year I get to go. Glad you’re getting out already! Best time of year!
Ive heard the color of the meat depends on the diet of the trout, ive caught trout on the same lake some had reddish(shrimp, crayfish etc diet)meat and some peach color(minnow diet) and couldnt taste the difference. Awesome video once again, cant wait to ice fish myself
Pulls out the Jaw Jacker! Nicely Done! I don't think we will be out on the ice for a couple more weeks in BC. Had a cold snap last weekend. Started to freeze and it warmed up again.
You should try this recipe. Put Miracle whip on it [cover the whole filet (keeps moisture in)], put a dab of maple syrup, and then your fav spices (I usually put a nice dusting of cajun or chili lime spice). in the oven @ 375 until cooked. You will not regret it. - From northern Ontario !
Good job on the dietary changes. I have been a "pesce-vegan" for 30 years. I returned to my childhood love of fishing to ensure I get access to some of the healthiest fish possible: fresh caught from a water source I can get data on.
Great vid the lake I fish has .25 inches of ice on it but I usually scale gut and cut the heads off my browns and rainbow then I fry them with flour and butter
