I guided at a few places in the middle of the bush in northern ontario.
I always took along one of the shower heads with the hose attached. Prime tip: Make sure the inner diameter of the shower head hose is smallest one you can find.
Less volume=more pressure. You're welcome.

Dude I’m so glad you’re back!!! You probably saved me from falling through the ice multiple times this year. It took forever to get decent ice on some local lakes this year and your experience made me really think and be cautious and make good choices. I still fished at least once a week and I’ve caught a pile of fish so thanks for keeping me and I’m sure lots of others safe this season. I’m still so stoked that you’re back!

Having been through the ice three times in my 55 years, it is not a very pleasant experience. Twice when I was young, playing hockey on ponds. The last time, in 2019, while fishing. But, I was with a buddy, who also went through. Both of us knew what to do and got out.
It made me reevaluate what we did right, and what we did wrong.

I purchased the 24 volt strike master electric auger about a month ago. I think it is really really great. I got rid of my gas powered auger and I think I'll be happy for years to come.

Saddest comment I've ever read
Not sure if anyone else has said this yet but generally it is better to wait to try and power on any electronic that has been submerged until after it has had time to dry out. Most electronics can survive water if they are not powered on ( and subsequently causing a short) and will be just fine if allowed to fully dry out before trying to turn back on. Just my two cents, glad you were able to recover so much of the gear!

haha, so my first vid from you is this... Amazing persistence I had a phone in saltwater once for 2 days and recovered it at low tide... It worked great after allowing it to dry out with a space heater blowing on it for 24 hours.... that and I shook the sh...water out of it.
