To be honest, without DVLA giving a date of the alleged smoke offence, it could have been years ago and before your ownership of the truck. I’d write back asking for the date of the alleged offence. All speeding offences etc are from the date of the alleged offence. I’d also request a copy of the evidence they have that states you were making too much smoke and a calibration certificate from the tester. Or a copy of the witness statement and DVLA statement on what makes that person/witness a competent subject matter expert able to judge what constitutes too much smoke. You could also state that you believe this was simply a malicious compliant made by a ‘feckless hater’ (or a more professional term that means exactly the same 😉) which is wasting both your and the DVLAs time and money.

@@impy1980 is it false though🤔 TIM running illegal exhaust pipes, illegal Tints, if VOSA are watching this sham, then Tim’s truck will be a magnet for roadside checks, his service provider (Lambardos) need to sharpen up on his inspections of Tim’s Scania …. Turning a blind eye to the tints and exhaust or they may loose there o licence through good repute …

I can respectfully confirm that the V8 does not emit excess smoke. As witnessed by me on the A14 westbound at Bury St Edmunds today 14th June.

You have got smoke fumes , it is dangerous having smoke flying out a truck because i had a car do it once and my chest was really sore after cuz the fumes and im young aswell and disabled so it has a somewhat serious effect on me , but you know and we know you just want to have fun with your truck just be careful would be my advice 🙂

Keep up the hard work tim, the only thing that gets me is using that side pipe in built up areas, I'd personally use it on motorways and country lanes, using it in a built up area can be taken as disrespectful in a sense. But I guess, you do illegal upgrades you've gotta expect a bit if stick, especially with a channel as large as yours. Love the videos, love the truck. No need for DVSA to be involved like...
What's the point in using it on the motorway lol most new cars have loud pipes anyways now days
@@victoriarobinson6227 they really don't mate... Not as loud as cutting out the muffler and cat. So using it on a motorway will allow for all the excess fumes which would have been taken away from the cat to disperse across a more open area, instead of into people's lungs and houses... Clown.
