This is a Crown Victoria SAP which means street appearance package, which means its a police intercepter made to look like a civilian Crown Victoria with the chrome grill, cloth seats, and carpet etc
Nice find Anthony…as others have commented that car has the Street Appearance Package. The FBI, Marshal Service and Prosecutors or Police Admin typically had those…that things a cream puff. It had a full light and radio package in it at one point but it was nicely decommissioned. (That was likely a gun mount under the trunk). When you land on a price I’d love to be a buyer. That car was assigned to Jody Acosta Treasurer of Falls Church VA…google you will see the City’s logo matches the ghost mark that’s on the door.
Danget. I should’ve did this back from my grandpa had his town car just to see. it’s still in the family maybe one day I’ll check if I ever see it again
None of the police cars had chipped keys or PATS. Check the driver side door tag for the code for the rear axle. Z5 code is open diff 3.27 gears, X5 is trac loc diff 3,27 gears, C6 is trac loc 3.55 gears. I bet that one has the 3.55 gears the way you took off with it. The air box under the hood pumps up the horsepower to 250. P71 cars change the VIN in 2010 to P7B. Very nice piece!
CVPIs always came with bucket seats but the Street Appearance Package gave it a Crown Victoria badge instead of police interceptor. That car was likely a Detective’s car or a Command vehicle driven by a Lieutenant, Captain, Major or Chief. Emergency lights were hidden or low profile because it wasn’t a primary patrol car. The mirror lights were removed when they retired it. The center console had radios and other equipment that were removed, with the blank solid plates put in to cover the holes. Falls Church Police Dept owned it… it has odometer/speedometer calibration so that means it was used for RADAR also. Unmarked cars are often used for traffic enforcement here in Virginia. VA also has state inspections annually so that ensures it always had good brakes, steering, tires, lights and structural integrity.
The “box” where the pull out ashtray/cupholder is supposed to be is a console for two way radios and siren, etc. it has what they call blanks on it. When the radio and siren was installed, it would have a custom face plate to fit that style radio. The hockey puck on the roof is an antenna, usually for a computer but could be for a radio. And the mirror delete plates were where emergency lights were installed. Ford had mirror molds and then they just covered the hole. The passenger floor board was where the computer mount was. It was probably used as a police car for an admin type person and recycled to a city official, which is why it wasn’t all pulled apart. They are great cars and one used by admin and or a city official is a gem. Should be a solid ride!
I drove a black, other colored unmarked P71 Vics on duty for many years. In 31 yrs as a LEO, overall the last gen Vic was my favorite vehicle and that looks like a nice find.
Good fine Anthony. I actually found a 2003 Crown Vic Base model that has 11,540 miles on it. It was garaged kept by original owners and then storaged-kept by 2 dealers. Nice car. Was looking for a Town Car but couldn't pass this one up. .
Yes i(t is a P7B, same as a P71. Yes the idle hour display, the dome light is part of the police package, SAP/ supervisor package, probably ballistic/stab proof plates in the back of the front eat backs, the missing trim on the front door, usually both sides would indicate ballistic protection. Treasurer's probably all have consealed carry permits, with the power to arrest if needed training/background. I think it will generate a lot of interest. You are right most are torn up by now. Let me know I maybe interested. I need a daily driver, have had two previous Grand Marquis a 97 and a 03.
I’ve been a full size Ford guy forever. I own a ‘72 LTD convertible, had two ‘84 Crown Vics, had an ‘03 Interceptor and now daily drive an ‘04 Grand Marquis. And my dad has a ‘99 Grand Marquis. There is something to be said for the way those Interceptors are set up. Mine had the 3.27 rear end with Trak Lok and it was a totally different animal than all the other full size Fords. I used to run studded Goodyear snow tires on it and it was a beast in the winter! I’d really like to get another Interceptor someday. Unfortunately the rust got mine 🫤
My cousin is a U.S. Marshal and drove this exact type of Crown Vic up until last year. My friend works for the Prosecutors office in Passaic County NJ and drives the same.
You're an interesting individual who clearly has a love for the older historical cars! I grew up driving the bigger cars that were very comfortable like Chevy Caprices, Impalas and Caprice Classics and I wanted to get a car to run around in as my everyday car so I don't put too many miles on my truck and I've been looking at Lincoln Town cars but my kids say I would look like an old man driving that car! 😏
Beautiful P71.. it is a police interceptor so it has all the bells and whistles of a bonafide police cruiser such as dual exhaust, trans cooler, power steering cooler, stiff suspension, and all that good stuff. The Street Appearance Package made it look like a civilian model, chrome grill, velour seats and carpeting, and no police interceptor marking on the left rear trunk panel. Yours seems to be in great shape and hardly used or at least used gently.
Hey Anthony, I think you have Roadmaster seats in your Van, cool find my friend. As for The Cop car, they have great motors…like you just saw, they really get up and go 😂😂😂 take care my friend….👍😎💙🇺🇦🇨🇦
When I did new preps for the local Ford dealership the factory put the front door moldings in the trunk under the carpet because most had emblems put on the doors where the moldings were.
This Crown Victoria was most likely a higher-ranking boss's car that got a few extra features, including the nicer cloth interior and the power driver's seat. For whatever reasons, it didn't get all that much usage. Barring something really bad that's found once the vehicle gets the full once-over, there won't be any trouble selling it for a premium.
The "box" under the radio would've housed radio / siren controller most likely. Those devices would've been removed prior to selling it and the blank plates were probably put in their places. The bracket above the rear view mirror would've likely held a compact light unit. The blank mirror caps are covering the hole where mirror-mounted LED emergency lights likely were installed. All emergency equipment was clearly removed but they tried to properly cover it all up, which isn't always the case.
This was probably a car for a captain or chief or something like that. So it had the police package but was a little more comfy and wasn't going to be used for transporting perps.
ANTHONY , IT LOOKS LIKE YOU GOT THE UNDERCOVER VERSION OF THE POLICE INTERCEPTER THE GRILLE NORMALLY WOULD BE BLACK , NO GUN RACK , JUST SLOTS WHERE THE RADIO AND SIREN 🚨 WOULD BE MOUNTED !! NICE ONE WHEN YOU GET IT CLEANED UP 🧹!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS BEAR JR. !!!
Dig it. I had a 1995 Grand Marquis back in the day. Also had a 2011 Crown Vic LX a few years back. Love the Panther cars. They drive very well. The death of the full size RWD V8 sedan in the US is a shame. Currently drive a 2019 5.7L 300C.
WOW Anthony this baby will clean up real good. !!! I would definitely be interested in her. Falls Church is the city right next to mine down here in Virginia. I am in Fairfax. She was probably pampered. She is in Good Shape. Hi Papa....
Anthony, I wish i had the cash i would so buy that P71 off of you and it would be my daily here in Florida. Per one of my friends whos a Police Officer where i used to live in Michigan those blank plates in the cabin were for the communications radios for the police department. That would have been most likely a Detective Car. Hence the spots on the mirrors for the lights. 2011 was the last year for the crown vic. Honestly i think it was stupid on ford killing off the Crown Vic that honestly was an idiotic move in my book.
Yes, most likely a Motorola APX remote head. They put covers on the rack to make it look nice. Also, I bet they left the strobes in the backup lights. That is a pain to take apart and cheaper to leave them and take the strobe pack.
they did this car nicely for retirement covering up all the holes like in the console and the mirror lights. If you decide to remove that black console under the dash where the pullout cupholder goes ill happily take it off your hands just respond to my comment so we can work something out.
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, its got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
No it doesn’t! A 440 is a 1960’s -70’s Mopar engine. This has the same 4.6L SOHC V8 as all other crown Vic’s except a different cold air intake, dual exhaust and 3.55:1 rear axle instead of the civilian 2.83:1 or 3.27:1 axle. It puts out about 250 hp. Vs. the civilian models with 224 hp. The tall gears is what makes most of the difference.
My grandfather had to get the full police spec Crown Vic with the cage and the steel plate inside the seat backs. His grandkids tried to stab him from the backseat several times. Terribly misbehaving kids!
Absolutely FBI. These Virginia CVs and GMarqs have been showing up at auctions the last year or so and quickly making their way to dealer lots with little information other than Government-owned and basic maintenance accounted for (but rarely noted as dealership maintained). Good deal for the right person!
Nice car but now I know why it's got low miles probably in the shop for a while with that header panel being replaced as well as all the front headlights. I wonder how bad the accident was
I have a 2009 Crown Victoria SAP P71 myself, Silver Birch in color, 3.55 C6 rear, same interior… what is the rear axle code in the door? Buyer???? I take it… 👍
Not really true Anthony a lot of police departments still have Vic's in service because of their reliability, here in South Bend Indiana they still have some in service for back up
Here we go lots want it or the one and only one Vic shall we put our names in a cap ??????? I wish for one also. THANSK Anthony say HOWDEE to PAPA BEAR 🎉❤❤❤❤

Check the idle hours. Push and hold the reset button and idle hours will show on the odometer display.
If it works 🤣
Danget. I should’ve did this back from my grandpa had his town car just to see. it’s still in the family maybe one day I’ll check if I ever see it again
Most don’t have the front bench seat. This was a nice P71 for a detective. The patrol ones had bucket seats for the police controls in the middle.
This P71 would compliment my Marauder beautifully. I love the street appearance P71s
Good fine Anthony. I actually found a 2003 Crown Vic Base model that has 11,540 miles on it. It was garaged kept by original owners and then storaged-kept by 2 dealers. Nice car. Was looking for a Town Car but couldn't pass this one up. .
Always finding the cool rides there Anthony!! Love it!!

Yeah. As someone else said. Check the idle hours.
Also, that dome light was part of the package, not aftermarket.
Idle hours are accessible on the dash cluster and do the research Anthony about how to figure out the actual mileage

Hello Anthony and papa bear enjoyed seeing one of the big old girls hanging in there that’s a great second family car thank you ken
Hello Ken thank you. Papa 🐻 & Anthony

Be careful Anthony unhook the back seat cushion don't push fingers in between I owned a Ex detective Vic and almost got a syringe 💉 stick
When I did new preps for the local Ford dealership the factory put the front door moldings in the trunk under the carpet because most had emblems put on the doors where the moldings were.

Didn’t know you had a conversion van. Thought it was sold.
Nice to see a crown Vic on the channel.
12:00
I love it Anthony. A great daily driver. Are you thinking of selling the van. Super nice and a bit unusual. I feel a lotto win coming soon. Thanks
nice. looks .like it will clean up well! Maybe it was a chief , commissioner,, or detective , or an unmarked car
This was probably a car for a captain or chief or something like that. So it had the police package but was a little more comfy and wasn't going to be used for transporting perps.
There probably was a radio where the cup holder now is. The plates were probably put there when the car was decommissioned.
A 2010 and 2011 were designated P7B and no longer P71. I have a 2010 myself. I got it October of 2021 with 66,000 miles.
I’d love to have that Crown Vic I’d love to have it just the way it is let alone after you perfect it.
The ford guys are going to grab this one no doubt !
It was a City car used by the Treasurer of Falls Church V.A. when they ordered police cars they ordered extra cars for City Workers

Definitely keeping an eye on this one and watching you forever
P71 is the identifier for the police interceptor model. That changed to P74 for 2011s, last I heard, because the VINs had to be updated.
looking forward to this one!
WOW Anthony this baby will clean up real good. !!! I would definitely be interested in her. Falls Church is the city right next to mine down here in Virginia. I am in Fairfax. She was probably pampered. She is in Good Shape. Hi Papa....

SAP is the best package have one the indent on ròof was wigwag lights . It prob was a chief car demoted .
That opening in dashboard was probably where they mounted two way radios
Yes, most likely a Motorola APX remote head. They put covers on the rack to make it look nice. Also, I bet they left the strobes in the backup lights. That is a pain to take apart and cheaper to leave them and take the strobe pack.
It was used for law enforcement. I was a detective.I had one of these cars. It's very fast. We now drive Chevy tahoes.
Those panels under the dash are filler plates just covering up an area that used to house some sort of electronic equipment
LAPD would want that. They still love the Vics
they did this car nicely for retirement covering up all the holes like in the console and the mirror lights. If you decide to remove that black console under the dash where the pullout cupholder goes ill happily take it off your hands just respond to my comment so we can work something out.

I want that crown! 🔥🔥

Love the P71
Actually this is a P7B not a P71 In 2010 it was changed
These things will go forever , and people will forever tap their brakes when they see it! Can’t wait to see it and the white Explorer for sale!
Absolutely FBI. These Virginia CVs and GMarqs have been showing up at auctions the last year or so and quickly making their way to dealer lots with little information other than Government-owned and basic maintenance accounted for (but rarely noted as dealership maintained).

Excelente auto cuando Ford tenía calidad plataforma phanther saludos desde Panamá
Hello Pal from Papa 🐻 & Anthony
We need a video of the white infiniti in background
if you put one of those crash cages on the front bumper you'll still be able to troll people
Can’t wait to see her after you do your magic
Nice Crown Victoria, if u don't sell it to expensive I would like to have it??? Batman approves
Nice car but now I know why it's got low miles probably in the shop for a while with that header panel being replaced as well as all the front headlights. I wonder how bad the accident was
I would buy that cop car😊
Wait a minute Do I see M30 convertible in front of the black VIC!?
Nice van!!!!!!!!!!
It looks like a transport car. I have a 2014 chevy impala police interpreter
I have a 2009 Crown Victoria SAP P71 myself, Silver Birch in color, 3.55 C6 rear, same interior… what is the rear axle code in the door? Buyer???? I take it… 👍
all of the paper work in thr glovebox i would put in a folder an keep it with the car along with the console under the dash
Not really true Anthony a lot of police departments still have Vic's in service because of their reliability, here in South Bend Indiana they still have some in service for back up
What are the Idle Hours?
Hi Anthony are you going to post this car for sale the way you normally do?
Maybe it was used in Police service ...then..passed down to the City Treasurer.
PRICE ?? and how many hours can tell just push the trip meter
A GSA auction purchase??
Most likely a chiefs car or detective car. Had a few of them if u have any questions
Nice car. What's the axle code on the door sticker Anthony?
Here we go lots want it or the one and only one Vic shall we put our names in a cap ??????? I wish for one also. THANSK Anthony say HOWDEE to PAPA BEAR 🎉❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤ awsome
What rear gear does it have? 327 or 355?
I don't think you will have any trouble selling the Crown Vic.
If Vin has a p71 or p74 is fleet , what are you asking for it
Nice example
YO SOPRANO ANTHONY HOWSA THE P 71 ? JUST NOSEY LOV YOUR CHANNEL SMC
Love it
Any vid’s on that Infiniti coming?
what are you looking to get for the P71 Ford?
Low mileage, what about idle hours?
Wells rust like crazy in mid-west
Municipal car, sometimes used for non police duties.
Watch out Anthony, there could be a BOMB 😂😂😂😂
How much is it? Im looking for one of these.
I'll buy ir now
Nice 😊
It’s a detective’s car
Cool
Didn’t look like too too many donuts were eaten in that car lol
Not many farts and only a few cups of spilled coffee ☕️
If the price is right, that thing will move
Hi, are you ready with a price??
Don't Believe about fleet maintenance I bought a 08 and it was supposed to be serviced and it was totally BS
They’re serviced routinely, just like my workout routine 🤣
How much? Fr the Black Crown Vic?
wow real nice. i need $$$ and call you bro. in NYC that is a taxi.
How much I'm interested?
