- British Army Challenger 2 tank of Bovington Armour Centre manoeuvring onto a low-loader prior to returning to its English base. It really was an incredible sight, one of the most, if not the most, notable vehicle I have spotted. Filmed in Coleraine, Northern Ireland on 24th June 2018.

Good thing they put a flashing amber light on top, otherwise people mightn't notice it coming, gotta think of safety
It's the law....

Fam, he’s making a joke.
@@qasimmir7117 how do you know he's making a joke? He might be serious
@@mattvewfindlay2228 have you ever heard a Challenger 2 ?? You must be completely death not to hear it....
@@paoloviti6156 I'm being ironic Paolo,keep up
Well, if they’d paid their instalments on time, it wouldn’t have been repossessed.
Well that's taken security in NI to a new level! Lol 🤣🤣
rich gaming we will loose wars if we have beacons telling them to be careful
Wish I had this when I was on my tour 🇬🇧
Have to keep the IRA in check
Good job the metal fence is there, if it rolled off one side of the flatbed, the fence is sure to protect anyone standing near.
Challenger only visited Liverpool once, Scousers had the wheels off it inside 30 seconds.
You mean the tracks lol
Awesome FOOTAGE you are the DUDE 😎🇬🇧❤️
From Liverpool, but used to live in Newry. Lovely people, Lovely place.
Absolutely terrible that we are at each other throats over this. It really is a shame, NI has been a huge roadblock between true peace between our countries.
the smoke is from a cold engine
No need to kill them with a big gun when you can use diesel particulates.
Everyone loves a big squeaky beast
Hell yes
Very good video. THX. Very good smoke tank . family Chieftain/challenger super. For me double super it Family update Magach and family Merkava. Smoke Challenger :-))) Kinder Grete, she will see it, so she will be angry and will pass out. :-)) . Thx an video Nathan. Edward, Czech republic.
When the engine is warm they do not smoke like that.
@@heybabycometobutthead Thx . Edward.
Please, can we use footage from your UA-cam channel for our videos about military cars, trucks a other machines? We tag your channel as a source ,... thank you. :)
Yes, no problem.
@@nathanlawrence5939 Thank you so much :)
Green peace won’t be happy to see this
No one's happy to see Green Peace
Great video Nathan I was hoping to make it up there was there any helicopters etc up there
Cheers Luke! Unfortunately no aircraft this year. Although needless to say the Challenger certainly made up for that.
As part of the new refit they are having a small reservoir to add that blue additive to bring the emissions into line. It’s the chally bluemotion
😂 you serious
@@james9311 yes they will have to stop at shell garages to get a little bottle of add blue
They could of at least oiled the wheels.. tory cut backs
British tanks are best in the world!👍
💪
I don't think it would pass it's emissions test!.
That just sounds like merlin
In battlefields the smoke is easy to detected by enemy, it's like SOS to the enemy
inspirasi informasi so what tanks don't have smoke coming out
If the tank is moving, and if you're moving, you're easily detected by the enemy.
Also, smoke is used to conceal maneuvers from the enemy while fighting, so not necessarily true.
Show me a tank that doesn't smoke
All that black smoke makes it hard to hide .
Cold engine. When they are warmed up there is almost no smoke at all.
Brits are finally pulling out of Northern Ireland?
God we were so close to having a Video in Northern Ireland without someone mentioning it
@@danielfield2570 touchy subject ?
That's like fighting a war to keep China British. I find I find it amazing that it used to be a true statement...
Ain't going no where.
@@notyou6950 NI is British, that's like saying is the USA pulling out of California!
@@heybabycometobutthead Riiiiiiight!
Next thing you will tell me is that it never involved fire and sword.
front wheel drive
Actually, the tracks are driven by the rear sprockets.
Adjusting the tracks on chally 2 are way easier than chally 1. You know its time to change those tracks when she starts jumping and youve adjusted the track tension to the max. Then its track bashing time. Used to love doing that on the tank park. Good times
Sorry to be "that guy" but the vehicle depicted isn't a tank - it's a 155mm self-propelled howitzer - maybe a Paladin or AS-90. MBTs don't have their turret stretch that far to the rear, plus the mechanism about halfway along the main gun used to stabilise it when not in use that is a feature not seen on MBTs.
Wtf are you talking about
Your ignorance is only outshone by your arrogance. You MUST be American, and also someone who has never ever had anything to do with tanks. That mechanism halfway along is a fume extractor, and has been a feature on British tanks for about 50+ years. The gun is over the back decks which makes movement easier, and saves the gun stabilisation system
The gun is pointing to the rear of the vehicle.
Congratulations, you just won twat of the year award! Come back when you have even the slightest idea what you're talking about!
