I drove Chieftain in the Army! Still remember the reg on mine, 04 EB 70! Close to the reg on this one!
Donkey engine is also there to provide electrical power so you can turn the turret and operate radios without the main engine running.
Chieftain doesn't have a V12. It has an L60 in line 6 with 12 vertically opposed pistons... But sounds awesome
Interesting how the late model L60's had a deeper engine note than the early "screamers".
@@thewomble1509i believe the exhaust systems were modified.
Did that for a living with the ANTAR Tank Transporters. Happy Days.
Best looking chieftain out there in private hands
Great to hear that 2 stroke howl 😁
Brings back memories, the Antar transporters were a little bigger than that one
Love this
😮Beautiful brute
Chinese eyes…..👍👍👍👍
beutifull bit of kit this.
This Chieftain is the Chieftain Mk.11 from Mr Hewes video?
No it's not Iam afriad - it belongs to Dickie - this ones in great shape and mechanically sound in all areas
@@idpfilm I know it doesn't belong to Hewes, but it did appear in Hewes' Operation Market Harborough, and in the video He said it belongs to R Hunt
Sorry Fella we READ your Post wrong - Dickie who owns this Beast is a friend of ours - I know Hewes has one somewhere in his collection
Best wishes to you Fella
