I always look forward to your videos, informative and to the point. I must admit I have a tent camping addiction lol. Having said that I have approximately 7 tents all for different purposes and climates all but one are dome. The smaller ones are for beach camping in Baja and have withstood 60 mph winds, impressive. The bigger ones are more for the mountains where I’m less exposed to wind but more possibilities of rain. These days lots of dome tents don’t use sleeves anymore but hooks making it easier to pitch by myself. Actually the only one I have that’s not a dome is a Gazelle which is amazing dry in downpours and fairly good in wind but not as solid as the typical dome does in wind. Thanks again for your video.

I've been wanting to test out one of those gazelle tents but haven't got around to it just yet. I love a good dome tent!

@@LoneCrowAdventures another great, affordable brand that makes great tents is NTK, I have 3 of their tents and they’re great quality, not so well known as Coleman, Teton etc but they’re great on the rain, some have huge vestibules but all so easy to pitch by myself although the easiest is Gazelle but also the bulkier. These days most reviewers gear towards backpacking and seem to forget there’s plenty of us who don’t backpack and still like gear reviews that suit our needs, specially when it comes to tents, cots etc. You do a great job reviewing for either type of camper indiscriminately.

I am glad I found your video and feel your enthusiasm for the humble dome tent. In a world of fancy framed stand-alones and trekker pole ultralights the dome tent doesn't get a look in. For me the dome tent is easy and quick to pitch, moveable when time is short and the weather is closing in. Crucially, you don't have to rely on complicated staking out when the ground may be hard . Anyway, great video and btw I like your accent! Greetings from England.

Thank you. I have one dome left. It's a three man tent. 8 lbs. I used to use it for family camping but haven't had it out for years. Maybe I should. Great ideas. Thanks 😊

@@donniemabry1470 interesting you mentioned that, in one of my trips last year (2022) I had 2 rattlesnakes right smack in the middle of my camp. One was a baby (more dangerous) thank goodness one of my dogs knows about snakes and will warn you from a distance. I wrangled one out with a spray bottle until was far, the baby I picked with long tongs I use to pick trash, placed it in my cooking pot with lid, drove it away and released. This was in the mountains, I’d expect to see more in the desert, I was surprised since I’ve camped there before, must’ve been all the fires making life harder for them. Poor creatures.
