- Hey friends, in today's video I'm taking a closer look at Parfums Vintage Pineapple Vintage Gold and going over the pros and cons of the scent. I totally agree with the cost gripes. I mean, I think the pineapple vintage line is very nice and the ingredients used in them are high quality but the price hikes are ridiculous and it makes these cost way too much for clones. Pineapple intense is now 85 bucks for a 50ml bottle 🤦🏻♂️. I stopped buying from them because of the outrageous pricing
It still lasts twice as long as Aventus for half the price. I’d say it’s a steal
They are over $115 now 😭

Thanks for the honest review(s) because I’d of your reviews, ok your wife’s inputs helped I made my first and second purchase from parfumes vintage. The first getting Pineapple Intense in the 50 ml and some samples and the second order XBatch in the 50 ml and with their holiday promotion two assorted gift boxes so friends can also try their products. Your videos got me interested in trying some medium higher quality perfumes. While I have accumulated a fairly long list of items I really want to try mainly from your videos but also from other videos in the same category, the ones I seem most interested in trying at the moment and wouldn’t mind getting as a Christmas gift are Zoologist, which I have sampled some and Imaginary Authors.

I agree 100% about the price increase. Almost defeats the purpose of getting a clone when the prices start encroaching the real stuff. I also would like to be entered for the draw and for Christmas it would be great to have Pafums De Marly Layton.

Yes disappointed with the price increases but still really have a hard time paying adventus prices. Would love to receive intense gold as a gift. Just got done sampling 15 Different PV's and Evolution de l'homme Soir Is tied with Citrus no° 1 Intense for my Favorites
I recently received a bottle of Intense Gold (my first PV purchase). I really enjoy the scent (especially the intense/sparkly musk) and longevity is staggering at 15+ hrs on my skin. I agree however: it's overpriced for what is is.
Glad to know some facts since i was considering getting Pineapple intense gold. If I were to "win" anything for Christmas fragrance wise, i'd love to try anything from Tom Ford since it's quite pricey and hard to obtain in my region.

I’m interested in receiving this fragrance and entering. I’ve sampled it and most of the house and the quality exceeds some of my designer fragrances. I don’t view this house as a clone house although i know that’s what they do. They are a great alternative in quality to the originals. A similar cologne that clones a popular fragrance is Porpora by Tizirini Tarenzi. It’s my one and only wish for Christmas! And I’m happy to say I purchased it for myself last week for half the price of Portrait of A Lady, yet the ingredients have similar quality. They are both amazing but Porpora is a cheaper alternative if you want POAL.

Haven't had a chance to smell any of the Pineapple Vintage line from Parfums Vintage. Picked up Evolution de L'homme Soir after watching your review, and have really enjoyed it! Love the house,but they have a problem responding to emails. I own emperor and love it, but I do agree that the pricing is high. I am getting pure malt for Christmas and cant wait to wear it. I purchased PVI when it first came out at $80 for 100ml. Sadly my remaining 50ml has developed a skanky note. The fruity top note is gone. The refrigeration tip did not help. I do store it in my dresser in my bedroom, so storage isn't the cause. I'm hesitant to buy PVI again. I do plan to pick up Emperor as a replacement.

I don't want the give away :) Great video, Ash, as always spot on: between the blown out of proportion variety, crazy prices and terrible customer service PV has in the US - I don't know how they are still in business! Agree on Emperor: the only one worthy buying from them, in my opinion (much more synthetic than the real Aventus but still nice for the price), in spite of the price. I sampled both PVI and PVIG: agree on minor differences but pineapple to me is riper in PVIG and greener and more sour in PVI, no?
I can see what you're saying about the differences in PVI & PVIG yeah. Not enormous differences on the whole though, like you said.

My scent for xmas that I would like would be Uomo Salvatore Ferragamo I recently was able to get a sample from a local fragrance store and it smelt amazing - black pepper, tiramisu, cardamom and bergamot as well as some other ingredients that I've never smelt in other scents. Its really refreshing and not many people I know have heard or smelt it before so makes it even more desirable
