A small project that I've been working on for about a month. Had a lot of fun making this and learned lots of new things too. This one was quite a challenge but I enjoyed it, hope ya'll like it :)

Honestly this feels like a prologue to an animated series and I would love more of the story and lore. It's clear the effort you put into this and it came out so beautifully, I never get tired of watching it.

Fun fact! Most people who get hanged have their neck snapped by the sheer weight of the drop. Realistically, there was a every high chance that he was supposed to die by the fall itself. Great animation!

Well to be expected they didn't do anything too flashy, and most of the times eye, hands, movement takes alot of time to animate including the body posture, well I'm sure you know that but i agree the quality is too amazing for 1 month.

Want to know whats funny? *This* is more captivating that any of the trailers i have ever seen. But there was not a single word said, nor a hint of familiarity, that would bring in the audience. Not to mention that *everything* had story. The setting, the mood, scenery, ambience, actions, principles of art. Just a masterpiece. That concludes my TED talk.

Reminds me of the scene from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. I think both the footsteps over footsteps in the beginning was especially well-animated, but I also loved the tension and weight in the pull of the bound hands reaching out and being pulled at the end. Beautiful!

I love how you see no faces untill the end, really good use of the frames to understand the situation without showing much :)
Literally, you only see foots and hands but everything is so intense and clear, It's so well done!
This has the potential to turn into a full fledge series , its so good! The lighting the sound design the animation the story they all are top quality, keep it up you'll do great things

A master class in how sound design matters in animation. The sound really helps sell the story, even when few frames are used.
Underrated grrrrr, the lighting and the way the backgrounds move and shift are phenomenal! It looks very pretty, the ending shots of the letter were creative and a good way to incorporate letters into the scene, i also really liked the subtle camera shaking when the guards hand was lifted. Also the theif design is relly cute lol
These clever shots are genius as they don’t require too much actual animation of each scene while the quickness captivates the viewer
Now that is a very good short, I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't mind seeing this turned into a longer story. The details were especially good, like the tiny rope strands left on the arrowhead, a very nice touch! One thing though, I noticed that the setting looks vaguely like medieval Europe, but the way the girl holds the bow and the arrow placement are Japanese. Was that on purpose?
Thank you so much🙏❤️ yeah I had a medieval era in mind, didn't know there were specific cultural ways to hold a bow tho, I just imagined her holding it like that and drew just that :)

This is incredible!! The animation frames are so simple and yet so captivating, the face reveals were absolutely perfect, the music had my heart racing with each scene; a masterpiece

This is amazing! So much conveyed with only small portions and motions of the characters’ bodies, so much emotion with no facial expressions, so much so much storytelling and worldbuilding with no dialogue! This is the beauty of animation as a storytelling medium done beautifully!
"Take my hand", I love how there was no dialogue and yet I still knew exactly what she said. Amazing!
Some movies begin with “UNIVERSAL”, some movies begin with “PIXAR”, but here, this movie starts with “SKEPTIC” “BOI”
I'll be honest watching the beginning made me think the entire short was only going to show hands and feet, which I actually thought was a pretty interesting idea lol until I saw faces lol
But past my initial thought amazing work and love the music 😊
Bro needs his own show because the ending actually had me screaming. You got me invested in those two characters after A MINUTE. That’s insane! Good job.
I adore the style- the plot- the animation- GAH ITS SO WONDERFUL. I can't believe this took only a month! The little "take my hand" is really well done enough to be understood without voice- THATS SO COOL!
This is by far the best short film I have ever seen. The snappy action and well composed shots are amazing.
It took a lot less time than I expected to figure out she was saying "take my hand" !!! This is so well done, I'm not even that good at reading lips but I could read an animated character's lips this is great!😂
Love the fact that the animation doesn't show the whole scenario, just feet or a hand, but you fully understand what's happening

Nice but when people are hung the feet sway a bit. Non moving feet means he died instantly. It’s a little tiny detail but it makes a difference. Other than that, nice line work and color. Keep it up

I love everything about this. The choise of dramatic music fits perfectly into what happens on screen and the details you can see in the light at morning makes it look even more breathtaking.

when I first saw the film it looked pretty ordinary but I tried watching it again and I saw the beauty of your cuts and shots and how beautiful is the sound design of your film how it adds up to the drama and suspense and I feel its beautiful quite inspiring :)

This is amazing. I just gor a whole novel in my head from watching a minute of animation. The character design is superb
0:46 proper or almost proper tension on the bow makes me super happy
I love this masterpiece but I just have one critique totally disregard this if u don't want critiques but I think u should have added the foot splashing sound effect add the start

Nah, all critiques are welcomed 😂 I did add it, it's really really subtle, I did crank the volume up of the sfx but they stood out alot with regards to the background music that's why :)

Dude the music! I freaked out when I heard it (I love that playlist it’s SUCH a good collection) and you did so good piecing the different parts together! I know those songs by heart and I was very impressed by how flawlessly they looped together!
And then the animation itself! Very beautiful, and you did so good! Wonderful job💕💕
amazing talent i loved the syncing of the music to actions in the animations and how you told 3/4 ths of a story without even showing a face
Two things. One: he would probably "just" have lost a hand for stealing. Two: the fall that breaks your neck is what kills you. The thief would be dead by then.

Lol nah it's all good, I don't mind, didn't really think about the technical aspects that much while doing this project, the goal was to keep things as simple as possible (story-wise) with impactful and cinematic visuals :)

That's what is happening and still happening especially in Europe, but in a different version. When you see people getting arrested in the most aggressive and savage way possible and then thrown into jails because they expressed their opinion or stood alone and silently with a sign about truth and humanity, they end up being repressed by the police forces.

This is amazing I feel really inspired looking back at peoples animations knowing some are quite along time ago. Taking a month is also so impressive I love how the character shows emotion too :)))

Weird thing for me but I always crack up at the credits part when it says "Boi" with epic shading and wonderful colours that set the tone for an epic story. Also it goes from tension and action to "Boi".
This TOTALLY feels like an intro theme to an animated show

Oh, this was so good! I really liked how the different shots were composed and the colors were really pleasant! And the sound!! Ughh, really good sound choices, the music slapped and heightened the drama. Lovely

But honestly, this is a good opening, packed with lore (What time the setting is, the characters, motivation of said character(s), etc). I don't know anything about score/music but that is a damn good one. Honestly would love an animatic series of this short film.
