This story is so wonderful and inspiring...should make it into a kids book to teach kids to never give up no matter how tough life gets.
Her ex husband hit the dog while they were drunk… they were trying to walk the dog while driving and holding his leash out the window…

They are our children as much as our human children are. I'm so very happy for you. My Isolde was hurt very badly by a pitbull when it attacked me while pregnant. She survived the operation by the vet flown in to do the surgery. I managed not to lose my baby, and carried my Isolde wherever she needed to be. We recovered, and then she was poisoned by an abusive family member. I will always love her.
This happened to my dog. My dog is so scared of thunder so it scared him and he escaped and got hit by a car. I just remember waking up the next morning with my dog laying on the bed with cast on his legs.

Yeah, such a strong doggo, but he's able to be strong because he has such a supportive and loving family. Makes me so happy to see.
I really hope his legs continue to get better. He seemed to still be struggling a bit at the end, but he was still shaved, so i really think he's gonna get even better over time.
Oh wow. Dogwood's will to get back on his paws again, coupled with the love and support of the vet, vet tech, nurses, supporters and fans and not forgetting the unfailing love of his humans made his recovery all the more possible and sweet. Thank you thank you thank you to each and everyone of you.

I am so glad that this Angel survived and is walking. I had an awful experience almost parallel with his. I was given a Pneumonia vaccine that was tainted with Streptococcus. I almost died 4 times in 4 different hospitals. My experience with near death that the only way I can describe it was that I felt like I was drowning. The Physical pain that you feel when you are fighting to live is unbearable. The doctors, nurses and surgeons all said that it is a miraculous that I survived, that I lived
But they said that I may never walk again or see again. I fought to walk. I was in a wheelchair, then a walker then a cain
I am walking again
And in Physical therapy I am also learning how to move and dance again
I have also learned how to see again. When I opened my eyes and I could see again, I could not stop crying.
They say that it is a miracle. Little Dag you and I are fighters

I'm so sorry I know what its like to lose your best friend, just know that he's somewhere at peace now and he's not suffering anymore, I always think about him in your mind and thoughts in your heart and he will always be with you, maybe after some time it's about giving it another lonely dog a home there's too many that need love and a good home think about adopting :)

Thank God. I know how painful it is when a member of your doggie family is injured or killed. It's like a part of your heart is damaged and it can take a long time to heal. So glad this had a happy ending.

The Love that he has for all of you is powerful that is why he choose to live.
I remember watching the story about these people and how they go on amazing road trips with their dogs. Dogwood was probably one of my favorite dogs and I was positive he’d be able to get over this little roadblock. I’m so glad he made a swift recovery and is still able to enjoy what he loves most.

Reminds me of my departed Papillon-X Lulu, who passed on last August after fighting blindness and kidney failure for many years. Despite her condition, she fought on, lived to the fullest and gave her all till the very end. We are so blessed with the unconditional love our fine furry friends gave us.
