- Dr. Shannon Curry , the psychologist hired by Johnny Depp, responds to the questions of Amber Heard's lawyer.
My reaction
#AmberHeard #JohnnyDepp #ShannonCurry #Trial
What's amazing to me is, now that the trial is over, how deadly accurate Dr. Curry was in her assessment of Ms. Turd. Every personality trait she described was acted out by Ms. Turd in real time, for the world to see. The lying, the refusal to accept blame for anything, the exaggerating, the need for attention, the cruel way she treats subordinates, etc, etc. Dr. Curry disected Ms. Turd's brain like a frog in a highschool biology class. Loved it!!!
Thank you. I saw that this psychologist is extremely professional. Yes, of course she can see a distinct exact personality disorder.
Loved it!!
And she has not stopped proving Dr Curry right as we can see, even now.
ms. turd 😂
@@EmmelineSama😂😅😅🎉🎉🎉e😢yesterday e
The fact that AH's team literally celebrates when an objection from Johnny's team is overruled shows how pathetic they are
yes, that "celebration" was absolutely sad to see.
😂😂😂
I JUST watched that part!! 😂😂 That was so sad but funny 😂
After watching all 3 parts, my head hurts. People are interviewed before being retained. It could be over a lunch, dinner, or just coffee. She was questioned by Depp’s lawyers while he was present. It is Depp’s right to be present. It’s his money being spent.
How many times can you question someone on their husband and muffins, when her profession is psychology? Her questions had nothing to do with the psychological report.
But they were mentioning the muffins on a try to disqualify the professional. It was not about the muffins, the muffins (and her husband) were just the starting point.
I thought the muffin part was pretty funny.
@@c.varela I get that, and agree. But, it was asked and answered. Her husband frequently buys muffins for the office, specifically when high profile people will be there. Because of confidentiality laws, she cannot say names of people (patients) to anyone, including her husband. The fact that he needed to buy muffins is still not unique, and was explained right away. Yes, the lawyer was trying to reach, and it didn’t work. There is no judge in my area that would allow that line of questioning to continue. As well as the question if she would have testified for Ms. Heard if her results were bad for Mr. Depp’s case. She was retained. Her findings are a medical opinion, and were for both parties. Ms. Heard had to agree to the evaluation to begin with. We are not talking a court ordered evaluation. If she didn’t readily agree to testify, it didn’t matter. A subpoena to testify makes her fair game. That questioning was pointless. The lawyer came to a knife fight with a pencil.
@@faizullakhan1556 I originally laughed, but it got old so fast.
@@madganser I love that line "came to a knife fight with a pencil"
“Now you’re an expert on the dynamics of Rocky and Amber?”
That was manipulative and disgusting. She literally did what Amber has been doing. Deflecting and projecting. What a dirty dirty lawyer.
Well, technically as a psychologist, she actually is an expert when it comes to relationship dynamics isn't she?🤔
And you could see the look of disappointment roll across the psychologist’s mouth as she pursed her lip like, “Lady lawyer, how low can you go?” Glad Depp’s lawyer objected all over that condescending statement!!
I mean sometimes you need to do that to make your point etc., but this is just a shit show...
Literally. The attorney asked her a question, she answered, and the attorney says "sO nOw YoUrE aN eXpErT oN tHis ToO??" No girl, she answered a question YOU ASKED.
Why did she keep asking what another doctor testified too. I thought she was wanting her expertise. Other doctors opinions of what Heard told the doctor is not suppose to be part of her diagnoses unless it shows drastic changes in her actions in the observances of Heard.
This psychologist is going to be on all red carpet events now and be hired by them alllll.. she's so good at what she does and dealing with lawyers. Well done if you see this 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Her reviews have 5 stars because of these hearings lol. She is going to be booked and busy for the next two years lol

And She is Hot!!!
Deserves to be
She shine✨ like a star but this old wacky man hater lawyer is Asking stupid questions wow the only BAR she passed was up the street 🥴
Psychologist VERY professional. So much easier to keep your composure when your telling the truth.
The lawyer is a joke. It’s laborious listening to her BUT very satisfying seeing the psychologist rebuff her every question. Making her look stupid.
I agree. But I will also add, this lawyer didn’t need much help making herself look stupid.
Once the psychologist was retained, she was subject to testify for either party, regardless of what her report stated. Her report would have been available to both parties. If her report didn’t help Depp, a subpoena from the Heard side would have been possible. It was a stupid question. Same as the questions about the husband.
@@madganser 👍🏾 you’d think she’d use her time more wisely then. Or perhaps she has nothing else 🤷🏾♀️
@@lianamassiah9353 Yes, there was many different directions she could have went. Instead, she attacked the psychologist. You do that sort of thing for character witnesses, not licensed experts.
“
absolutely, telling the truth is so much easier. no need to remember all of the lies etc
I can't stop watching these. The questioning about muffins has me on the edge of my seat
I was crying while I was watching this. WTAF. Muffins 🤷🏾♀️🤣😂😭
i was laughing and getting hungry at the same time.
I wouldn’t mind having Dr. Curry’s muffin 😊😂😂
Honestly and the way she focused in on the muffins was majorly embarrassing
I had to do mock trials in high school and the very first thing we were taught is that the lawyers should never ask a question they don't know the answer to. I guess Amber Heard's lawyers skipped that lesson.
That Psychologist is one extremely smart woman. I love the look on her face when the questioning attorney stumbled. I got the impression the attorney realised she was overmatched.
Yikes this "lawyer" really didn't seem to be all that well prepared? When the witness replies with "no that is not correct" after you have asked them if that it was they said and you don't have a followup question you are left to only shake your head?
Or she continues with the follow up as if she agreed even after she disagreed 🤦♂️
most lawyers believe they are steering the questions in a certain direction, they usually are prepared enough to plan for all possible answers, this one, for whatever reason, was not prepared for the pushback from many witnesses. It's why JD's lawyers were often seen smiling and laughing and constantly objecting to several questions.
who knows what nonsence was Heard giving her to work with
lawyer was so disrespectful to the psychiatrist and I can't believe the judge let that attitude slide
She seems disrespectful in general and just pissy if she doesn’t get her way! But I also believe she isn’t a psychiatrist, she’s a clinical/forensic psychologist
@@user-ow2zy5iw1c That lawyer is one of the most incompetent i've seen. Also extremely disrespectful to everyone, including the court of justice. She did no preparing. A complete zero.
Indeed. I would be surprised if she gets much work after this awful ‘performance’
the judge needed her fair amount of fun!
They don't want a retrial
Dr. Shannon Curry is a unicorn. Smart, funny, knowledgeable, and will defend any person wrongfully accused to the the maximum extent possible.
And not lose her composure, because I was hitting the walls here.
you forgot she is also easy on the eyes :)
And she sleeps with her clients
And she brings muffins.
@@dantegwyes she is, a gorgeous Khaleesi.
who's gonna tell the lawyer that the dsm-5 is just a list of symptoms...
Someone showing some OCD traits?
It’s a full account of all known medical disorders and their individual symptoms
@@LuisSieira as they say in law, military and psychology, details matter.
That defense attorney was not intelligent enough to question this psychologist.
She also has a great amount of emotional intelligence. She probably knows that an emotional response will be a detriment to JD's case, so she just focuses on the facts. Makes her seem more trustworthy because of it
IMO it’s not the lawyers’ fault because its difficult to defend Amber’s defence against the actual truth towards JD
Lawyer: I am here to deconstruct your report!
Psychologist: That is not correct!
😆😆😆😆😆
The perfect TL;DR of this 😆
johnny what ever you paid Dr Curry is worth every dime, well done to your team for hiring her
But she's testifying. They dont pay for that wouldn't it be a bribe ? Weird. Shes doing it for free no?
Listen Amber lover she got her a** kicked badly..stop whining
@@EughhBrothereughhshe’s a paid medical expert, hired to evaluate forensically Amber Heard’s mental health and she diagnosed her. Amber paid experts as well.
You know damn well that lawyer is just pissed she didn't get a muffin!
If they had orange/cranberry I would of been upset as well.
I think I've officially lost count of how many times the attorney is "incorrect" LMAO
Confident, Truthful, and zero gaps in her armor.
An absolute Class Act Lady.
I'm glad Johnny won but it's very sad seeing Elaine try to get Dr. Curry guilty by association.
Dr. Curry has LOTS of integrity.
I loved the last sentence. The psychologist is very smart in her way of answering questions.
"you didn't have a DSM diagnosis" proceeds to read DMS diagnosis LOL
also the way the psychologist says "I said a little bit more than that"
HOW could the lawyer fall for that HOW
She literally got the lawyer to read out the DSM diagnosis for her..... I cant
Unlike physical health, mental diagnoses are primarily symptom based.... if you meet a number of symptoms as outlined by the DSM and a licensed professional, you ARE diagnosed with that illness....
coupled with the way the lawyer says "you said Ms Heard demonstrates psychological /SYMPTOMS/ of borderline personality disorder etc"
like it being symptoms is what makes it uncredible...
when saying someone has the symptoms of a personality disorder is SYNONYMOUS with saying they have a personality disorder..... and is in fact how a lot of diagnoses are worded....
man
i think the psychologist said “that’s not correct” ,“that’s incorrect” or “that’s inaccurate” more times than the other lawyer said objection hearsay
3:20 first time an objection from her opposing attorney is overruled and get a little exited, eh?
second hand embarrassment right here 😂
Made me think of my 4 year old grandchild yesterday when i said he can have a cookie .
HAHA you’re right! She got all giddy and giggly it was weird 😂
"...I said a little bit more than that..." actually means more than some might think.
It means, you just picked a line and put it out of context.
Very well done.
So sharp!
first rule of lawyers don't ask questions you don't know the answers too, first rule of psychologist, you can only control your response, only one in that setting followed their mantra

Depp is such an amazing actor that even his trial ends up being a great movie to watch! What a cast! What a script!))
This entire line of questioning is basically "do you recall someone else's testimony?" 🙄
This Lawyers incompetence is painful
but but but but MIFFINS or something!
The way she kept smirking because of the preposterous leading questions just shows she's surrounded by fools
I love the attorney trying to outsmart a Psychologist...Failed miserably.
The psychologist done so well and was so professional ❤
I'm thinking Amber Heard might want a refund after this performance by her attorney. She is just bad. And Amber is clearly awful. Hope Depp can salvage his career.
I expect that Johnny Depp will come out just fine. It looks like he wasn’t culpable of physical abuse. Verbal abuse could be just as bad though; they may have both been guilty of that, as can anyone. This farce of a trial may kick-start his career. It will certainly bring this confident psychologist many new clients and deservedly so!
They should use theses tapes in Lawyer college on how not to practice law!
I like the prolonged emphasis on “psychoooooo….metric test data” by Amber’s lawyer 😂
I laughed at that too 😂
Shannon Curry,- what a collection of quality cells
Elaine, Elaine, poor Elaine. We're you Prepared for this case
She was great! That’s being a professional.
The psychologist ate the lawyer for lunch, and then spat the bones out on the floor.
The lawyer was kinda cute in a childish way when she got all proud and enthusiastic about the judge overruling the objection. "See, ma? I got one righ! I got one right!"
The psychologist is phenomenal. She sees from five miles away what they're trying to manipualte her into saying, and not only dodges it, but fires back in a way that completely flips the argument in her favour. I stan her!
Lol at how happy Amber's lawyer gets when the judge agrees with her objection.
How dare she question this woman’s credentials and ability to Dx common mental health disorders 🤬😬. She kept her cool , as I would have lost it I think lol. This lawyer is the one who’s credentials and experience needs to be questioned in my opinion 😑.
She is great at keeping her calm/composure.
3:20 She won one objection and she thought she was on top of the world lol
So the muffin is innocent ?
That’s correct.
Objection, hearsay
@@gdaym8y hearsay??? That is biased sir
The lawyer was so happy to get an Objection overruled 😂😂😂... she needed that win😂
My god this is a horrible lawyer for the defense. Remember when hiring a lawyer, that you get what you pay for. Half of all lawyers that graduated, did so in the lower half of their class.
She should be a car sales person….she’s also the reason people don’t trust or respect certain types of attorneys!!!
Amazing. I want her on Criminal Minds.
Silly how this lawyer keeps trying to twist what she said. How horrible this lawyer is to me to keep trying to discredit her.
I was glued to the screen the entire time! Fantastic job! 👍
This lawyer should be disbarred after this case this is embarrassing and killing my intelligence.
4:03 : The question by Elaine Bredehoft and the answer by dr Curry 👌 spot on !
She's good. Highly prepared and able to handle these attorneys. We'll done.
❌ counts of lying under oath
❌ counts of assault
❌ counts of false allegations
❌ counts of defamation
And whatever the charge is for shitting in someone's bed.
Like SEND HER TO PRISON ALREADY.
After watching all 3 parts I can say yes the attorney struggled to poke a hole in the report, however I think her intention was to discredit Psychology as a whole. The way she purposefully misinterpreted the term: "symptoms" with her change of tone tells me that she tried to discredit the diagnosis based on the DSM-5. Insinuating that showing symptoms of personality disorder alone is not clear enough to warrant a DSM-5 diagnosis... Which is true unless it is evaluated by a licensed professional. Regardless I wonder if the jury is aware of this. All these questions to me seem just to confuse the jury and further feed constructed misinterpretations to the jury to lessen the value of the psychologists report. It seems silly but I don't think it's the psychologist being manipulated here, she is trying to manipulate the jury.
That's the only part that had me thinking she could've done a slightly better/more thorough job. Like, when writing the evaluation. Just something along the line of "based on the number/percentage of symptoms that align with X, and in the absence of other (possible) diagnoses that would explain those symptoms, I am diagnosing her with X/suggest a diagniss of X". Just a way to make things more certain and less room for questioning, making it official or what have you.
It's not entirely how I was trying to say it but I'm too tired and can't think of words lol.
@@dothedo3667 Is that common practice in more serious cases, like for example, criminal/clinical psychologists consulted by a court to provide a diagnosis/evaluation of the defendants in criminal cases?
@@Pranav_Bhamidipati yes it is quite a common thing
@@dothedo3667 the testimony is what was said on the stand not what was written in reports. The fact that an old report did t say the word diagnosis doesn’t mean the expert opinion on th stand is invalidated
@@dothedo3667 no that is not how it works. she does not have to say “i am diagnosing her with” for this to be a diagnosis. if 8 out of 10 or 7 out of 10 symptoms are enough for a diagnosis, the diagnosis is implied even if you say “she manifest 7 out of 10 symptoms.” she probably did write the diagnosis somewhere else in the document, but the lawyer misinterpreted the meaning of the expression “exhibits symptoms.” that expression doesn’t mean “she has some symptoms that look like it but it’s not it.” it is essentially diagnoses the person. when you say, someone “exhibited symptoms of cardiac arrest” that is synonymous with “they had cardiac arrest.”
I think, as a rule when you don't know what you're doing, don't do it publicly. That lawyer should be fired..
The muffin part never ceases to amuse me. I get what Elaine was trying to do but Curry made it super clear that buying muffins for her did not mean her husband knew the client was Amber yet Elaine kept going at it making her look foolish. Same with the drinking and dining with Johnny. It was part of the interview for her to be retained, but she kept going at it, even mentioning the type of drink she had- made elaine looked a mess not knowing how else to go about this case. Thought she did good to mention the therapist who believed Amber but Dr Curry was too good she highlighted that he believed Amber because it was his job to believe her testimony and that whatever he testified was based on what Amber told him, not his own assessment.
My Cousin Vinny would a been a better lawyer than her! Lol
My dog would have been better.
look at Ben chew face😂 so relaxed as he knows that AH team is actually help johnny win 😂😂😂❤
Wow is all I can say after watching part 1 - 3.
I love how the psychologists never lets a moment slide where the finer details and context is inserted. "I also said a bit more in that report", she doesn't allow the lawyer to get away with taking out parts of her report for questioning. As we say in the Army, "details matter"
Elaine, Elaine, Elaine... Outsmarted, Outdressed, and Outeducated 😂
love the sound effects when heard's attorney stumbles to say something :)
The psychologist so reminds me of Amanda Peterson from "Can't Buy Me Love," 1980s teen film with Patrick Dempsey.
I’ve seen this twice already and stumbled upon it again. I love it more the third time.
Who thought this lawyer was the best AH could do?😂
Nobody else wanted to take her case slim pickings lol 😂😂😂
HULU needs to make a series about this trial because it was so entertaining.
You shouldn't believe everything that is in the DSM-5!
Why? It's the literal book of definitions for medicine. Lol
Amber said she had a hard time deescalating ? Johnny BEGGED to leave the situation and she wouldn't let him! 😭
5:44 That was a BIG strike.
"you have to take the patient at their word when you are their therapist" all that build up she was doing just crumbled XD
The courtroom is supposed to be the lawyer's domain, but she's a shambling wreck. Shannon Curry looks far more at ease and confident than this floundering excuse for a lawyer. She'd be better sticking to doing deep dives into muffin purchasing habits.
how on earth does someone who can't read properly become a lawyer
To understand your client its a good idea to see them in many situations including over Dinner or Lunch where their guard may drop to reveal the true personality.
That attorney has so little self-esteem...the lack of confidence drips from her every interaction.
