    What's amazing to me is, now that the trial is over, how deadly accurate Dr. Curry was in her assessment of Ms. Turd. Every personality trait she described was acted out by Ms. Turd in real time, for the world to see. The lying, the refusal to accept blame for anything, the exaggerating, the need for attention, the cruel way she treats subordinates, etc, etc. Dr. Curry disected Ms. Turd's brain like a frog in a highschool biology class. Loved it!!!

    After watching all 3 parts, my head hurts. People are interviewed before being retained. It could be over a lunch, dinner, or just coffee. She was questioned by Depp’s lawyers while he was present. It is Depp’s right to be present. It’s his money being spent.
    How many times can you question someone on their husband and muffins, when her profession is psychology? Her questions had nothing to do with the psychological report.

    • @c.varela
      @c.varela 2 роки тому +58

      But they were mentioning the muffins on a try to disqualify the professional. It was not about the muffins, the muffins (and her husband) were just the starting point.

    • @madganser

      @@c.varela I get that, and agree. But, it was asked and answered. Her husband frequently buys muffins for the office, specifically when high profile people will be there. Because of confidentiality laws, she cannot say names of people (patients) to anyone, including her husband. The fact that he needed to buy muffins is still not unique, and was explained right away. Yes, the lawyer was trying to reach, and it didn’t work. There is no judge in my area that would allow that line of questioning to continue. As well as the question if she would have testified for Ms. Heard if her results were bad for Mr. Depp’s case. She was retained. Her findings are a medical opinion, and were for both parties. Ms. Heard had to agree to the evaluation to begin with. We are not talking a court ordered evaluation. If she didn’t readily agree to testify, it didn’t matter. A subpoena to testify makes her fair game. That questioning was pointless. The lawyer came to a knife fight with a pencil.

      She literally got the lawyer to read out the DSM diagnosis for her..... I cant
      Unlike physical health, mental diagnoses are primarily symptom based.... if you meet a number of symptoms as outlined by the DSM and a licensed professional, you ARE diagnosed with that illness....
      coupled with the way the lawyer says "you said Ms Heard demonstrates psychological /SYMPTOMS/ of borderline personality disorder etc"
      like it being symptoms is what makes it uncredible...

    After watching all 3 parts I can say yes the attorney struggled to poke a hole in the report, however I think her intention was to discredit Psychology as a whole. The way she purposefully misinterpreted the term: "symptoms" with her change of tone tells me that she tried to discredit the diagnosis based on the DSM-5. Insinuating that showing symptoms of personality disorder alone is not clear enough to warrant a DSM-5 diagnosis... Which is true unless it is evaluated by a licensed professional. Regardless I wonder if the jury is aware of this. All these questions to me seem just to confuse the jury and further feed constructed misinterpretations to the jury to lessen the value of the psychologists report. It seems silly but I don't think it's the psychologist being manipulated here, she is trying to manipulate the jury.

    • @dothedo3667
      @dothedo3667 2 роки тому +3

      That's the only part that had me thinking she could've done a slightly better/more thorough job. Like, when writing the evaluation. Just something along the line of "based on the number/percentage of symptoms that align with X, and in the absence of other (possible) diagnoses that would explain those symptoms, I am diagnosing her with X/suggest a diagniss of X". Just a way to make things more certain and less room for questioning, making it official or what have you.
      It's not entirely how I was trying to say it but I'm too tired and can't think of words lol.

      @@dothedo3667 no that is not how it works. she does not have to say “i am diagnosing her with” for this to be a diagnosis. if 8 out of 10 or 7 out of 10 symptoms are enough for a diagnosis, the diagnosis is implied even if you say “she manifest 7 out of 10 symptoms.” she probably did write the diagnosis somewhere else in the document, but the lawyer misinterpreted the meaning of the expression “exhibits symptoms.” that expression doesn’t mean “she has some symptoms that look like it but it’s not it.” it is essentially diagnoses the person. when you say, someone “exhibited symptoms of cardiac arrest” that is synonymous with “they had cardiac arrest.”

    The muffin part never ceases to amuse me. I get what Elaine was trying to do but Curry made it super clear that buying muffins for her did not mean her husband knew the client was Amber yet Elaine kept going at it making her look foolish. Same with the drinking and dining with Johnny. It was part of the interview for her to be retained, but she kept going at it, even mentioning the type of drink she had- made elaine looked a mess not knowing how else to go about this case. Thought she did good to mention the therapist who believed Amber but Dr Curry was too good she highlighted that he believed Amber because it was his job to believe her testimony and that whatever he testified was based on what Amber told him, not his own assessment.
