the fact that five killed grace really quick by snapping her head is cool detail cause the umbrella grace would've survived that,, reginald upgraded grace to take care of viktor after seeing what he did to the maids that got injured. we saw viktor attempted to snap grace's head and yet she survived

I feel like Allison is the pure embodiment of “hurt people hurt people”. She’s been miserable (understandable) so now she wants Viktor to feel just as bad if not worse than her (inexcusable). I really hate that they did her character this way since I really like her arc last season..but she’s now in her complete villain era

The thing is though she was a villain in the comics too. And with what we’ve seen now, when you look back on earlier episodes we can see the little clues that told us her ability to manipulate people with her powers was always within her, slowly setting this villain arc for her up.

The way Allison is treating Viktor this season is way worse than how he was treated in the first season. She kills someone that he cared about for no justifiable reasons and no empathy for her actions, blames her for the whole thing and what's worse is that she gloats about him being locked up in the basement which was caused the apocalypse in the first place. Even Luther in the first season believed that he was doing the right thing for the safety of his family then later regretted his mistakes, Allison was being spiteful and selfish with her intentions. Also once again, I love how protective Luther is of Viktor.

A little fun fact: Lila's time in a band was actually a thing between Diego and Vanya in the comics. (Unlike Viktor in the show, Vanya in the comics isn't a trans man, or at least she's not out yet as of the most recent issue in 2019)
In the comics, Diego and Vanya had a brief romance as teenagers, which Diego never got over, and they formed a Punk band together to vent their anger about their dad, but when Reginald found out about it, he berated them, and told Vanya she was distracting "The Kraken"(Diego's hero name) from his hero work, and Diego took Reginald's side over her, which was the last straw that made Vanya leave the academy, after Ben's death and Five's disappearance.

This episode and seson solidifies to me that Allision had to have rumored Luther to be "in love" with her. If Luthor has had that moon rock since season 1 and even with his moments with Allision, he never showed as much affection as he is with Sloane. Him and Sloane are so good for each other.
Allision is very much an antagonist this season in compared to season 2 where she did a few antagonistic rumors. Even compared to season 1, which did allude to Allison having a power trip with her power most of her life. It's how she became an actress, it's how she got her first husband, and it's how she lost custody of her daughter. Alliison is very much about control when it comes to the root of anything in her life. She can handle people having free will until it isn't serving her or to her interests.
Viktor this season so far is trying to find the most peaceful solution for everyone and all the while trying to be conscious to make sure no one gets hurt. That's not what a villain does and that's why Five's line to Viktor should have been said to Allision instead. Allison at this point is about getting her way and feeling like everyone is against her, however EVERYONE has been trying to be supportive of her. In the last episode Allison said people are telling her how much she can lose before she assaulted Luthor.....no one has told her to suck it up and move on, no one has pushed aside her feelings. She's just lashing out and pointing fingers, but all in all, she's a loose canon.

    • @christophermcentee107
      @christophermcentee107 3 місяці тому

She's a despicable person and has been since season one. She consistently told Viktor one thing that was supportive and then turned around and backstabber her almost immediately
Worse she acts like her pain is the only important suffering. Five lost freaking everything and spent 35 years alone. Everyone lost something or got hurt but Allison is all about herself. The only thing she's cared about since the beginning is herself. She missed her calling when she became an actress. She should have gone into the opera cuz all she's about is me me me me
For the first time in my life I'm actively rooting for a character to die.
Viktor should have killed her in the living room. She deserved it completely

    *Very long comment, sorry*
Allison's change I must say doesn't bother me that much, I just hope she has a redemption in the future. I think she has always known that because of her power she has the potential to be a villain and that is why she did not use her powers, in this case for everything she has lost she has used her powers A LOT and is more of a villain, I understand her actions although I do not defend them but I think it's a logical change in the character, so although her character makes me angry, I think she's a very good character and Emmy (Allison's actress) is WONDERFUL.
The issue with Lila is also understandable even if it's something bad, just imagine that the only family she had was her mother and then she finds out that she gave the order to kill her biological parents and later kill her without hesitation, plus Lila goes to the commission to see Diego since she loves him very much but she realizes about her "mother" killing her, there are many things at the same time, then she goes to Berlin, she is in the band and she continues imagining Diego and through the drums she let go her emotions that is also worth mentioning that Ritu Arya in real life plays the drums and I loved that scene, it is not specified at what point she realizes her pregnancy but she takes Stan while his mother leaves him for a week following the bass player, even if it's a bad thing she doesn't kidnap Stan because he decides to go and he was also alone or his company was with drug addicts, it's not a good environment for Stan either, I love Lila's character and her development especially in this episode and also I feel sorry for her, imagine what she must have felt when she found out about her pregnancy and then when she opens up to Diego telling him about her fears, I think her journey is very beautiful and how her development continues In the season. + I love the couple of Diego and Lila I think they complement each other perfectly and at the same time individually they are very interesting and complex characters, in addition their chemistry is the best of the entire series and another thing I love is that although it is not confirmed it may in real life David Castañeda (Diego) and Ritu Arya (Lila) are a couple and for me it makes a lot of sense, the chemistry and comfort of their scenes is SPECTACULAR

1st- Stanley's 12 years older then is fake parents.
2nd- I can't say that this has been my favorite season of Umbrella Academy up to this point. But I I have to say that character wise this has been the best season. The actor seemed to know their character very well. And I like all of the decisions that the characters make, good or bad, seem authentic to their characters. None of it feels like it's they're only for a plot device. You can weave back to why they might have decided to go down said path. Even if I don't like it I can see how they got there.
3rd- Allison's getting on my nerves don't mistake that. But I have to admit that she is grieving but her family seems to just be brushing that off as if it's inconsequential to what's happening. I think her anger with Viktor is because he seem like the only one who understood what she was going through. So I made the betrayal seem all the worst. I think there was also some jealousy of the relationship that Viktor had with Harlan. As not only did Viktor have the child that she got cared for, but she also had a piece of Sissy there.
4th- we have to admit that she is definitely using her powers a lot more this season than she did the first two combined. And we saw in seasons prior that she does tend to get a little bit power hungry when she can use it. Which is why she opted to not do so in season 2

This thing is the real world embodiment of a computer virus/error and they didn't think it'd get worse if they just ignored it?
Also, I was expecting Diego to instantly say yes but I'm really glad they made him think about it because this is a VERY extreme thing to happen to him all at once and he needs time to prosses everything before making a serious decision.

As a German Native speaker, no 12 year old German speaks English as well as that kid. Besides, his name is "Stan", which is not a German name. If the girl that asked for the sledgehammer was his mom, then I can say she spoke with a terrible accent, she was definitely not German. So maybe they are both not German, but were just staying in Germany. That being said, it's weird that the moms name is apparently "Trudi" which sounds like a German name, even though not really used much anymore. So yeah, it all doesn't make much sense.

Five came off as bit to put it bluntly stupid in his speech to Viktor. In some ways I’d say it was more influenced by the past than the present when he warns as well as threatens him over his potential to become a villain considering Viktor’s personal growth since season 1 along with the way Allison has acted recently not to mention her whole life which shows that she has more villain potential. Also while I love Five’s character him saying he’s there for Viktor if he ever needs anything while sweet sorta rings hollow given the context. The whole reason for this conversation is because of Viktor concealing information from them about Harlan killing their mothers and hiding him away. Viktor was in the minority to put it lightly about protecting Harlan from certain death at the hands of the Sparrows and Five can be pretty cold to put it bluntly at the best of times shown by his comments referring to average humans as ants as if their lives are meaningless by comparison. He plainly stated that he considered Harlan’s life insignificant so Viktor wasn’t about to confide in nor rely on him in such as situation as it would make no sense. I don’t disagree that she shouldn’t have hidden what Harlan did but I also understand her wanting to protect him as well as strongly disagree with the family being so willing to sacrifice the lives of another person to achieve their ends. I understand they aren’t your typical “heroes” yet sacrificing others like that feels like more of villain thing to do, though I suppose they might have learned that from their father.

There is actually a lot of similarity in Allison's and Wanda's arc even with their powers being similar as they can both alter reality and did something to shut their opponents mouth 😳. But Wanda's arc in WV was handled in a better way. She came from a place of uncertainty and it started subconsciously atleast, even when she got to know what she was doing, she was in a denial phase which came out of when Agatha forced her to face her truth and had a change of heart. But with Allison she also got few therapeutic moments too, the main one being the convo at the swings with Ray, it should have had some positive effect on her, but on the contrary she continued to get worse and worse. And she did everything intentionally killing Harlan, hurting Viktor etc. Wanda was more of an unintentional villain whose motives we could get behind

Alison isn't wrong, Viktor ended the world intentionally or unintentionally three times now.... I love Viktor but this isn't all Alison's fault.

They truly destroyed Allison's character this season. She keeps trying to pin the blame on anyone but herself. She went past the point of no return imo.

Allison has really pissed my off this season. I really dislike her as a character.

I never liked her. It was obvious from the start that she is problematic person who uses hers power for selfish and evil deeds. But people fall for sad mom missing her daughter trope. Never mind she was terrible and abusive mother.
