Such a great dress you inspire me to get out of the box watching you sew. I find myself exploring different patterns now. Thank you for your peaceful voice.
Second comment, because I think it may be encouraging for you: I love your explanations of your "why" you do things. And when what you did doesn't work out. You're my sewing teacher, so we learn as much from your mistakes as from your successes. You're explanation as to how things (luckily) worked out in the end with your choice not to do a full bust adjustment was so helpful because you explained why it may have been a mistake as a garment modification choice, but why it worked out in the end.
I really appreciate your tutorials , Marie. Especially when we can see along with you. Just bought the Bill and Linda Platt unlined jacket. Plan to make it with you. Many thanks,
Just found channel, I clicked on because I have actually made this jacket for my daughter. It's a beautiful jacket and I made a skirt to go with it. When you made the bound buttonholes on the peplum all you had to do was push the the facing out of the way and you wouldn't have had a problem. (The peplum has a built in facing). Hope this helps.
Oh soo Beautiful Madame !. I am learning a lot and i appreciste the fact you cut the interfacing similar to match the Bodice and even included the Dart in the interfacing. An eye opener for me. Many Thanks.
Another excellent tutorial with the finished garment looking fabulous and so flattering. That bound button tool is amazing, thanks for showing us how it’s used. Once again your trouble shooting methods work brilliantly.
What a lot of work! But you solved every problem and your results are looking perfect. It looks good with the slacks and it should be even better with your choice of skirt. A-line skirts are so becoming and pretty quick and easy to make. I should have watched to the end before I commented! I have to add that your husband's antics gave me a great laugh! Make him something and have him model it.
Oh my gosh, lol! That vintage 80’s suit pattern was the one i used for my bridesmaids, in a stunning shot silk which shifted blue/red. That has amused my socks off 🤣😂🤣 That jacket turned out so well. Your sewing skills are beyond amazing.
I love the way you don’t lose your cool when things don’t work in your favor. There are times I will just sit and cry, walk away, and wait until the next day. I have learned soooo much from your video’s…. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Fabulous-You worked hard on this. What impresses me the most is your attention to detail when it comes to marking and they way you make taking those few little basting stitches to hold/mark something look so easy and fast. I am terrible at marking but I am an absolute evangelist when it comes to telling people to just do a quick hand baste . Shoulder shield is the right choice. If you know it's there... Thank you for showing how to approximate a roll line I need this jacket in my life.
It turned out just gorgeous. You wear it very well and it goes perfect with the leggings. This video was a learning experience for me. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.
