Lazaaaaaaaars? It is pronounced Laz-a-russ (rhyming with "bus"). I spent MANY weekends in that mall when I was a kid in the 80's... it was THE place to be on the West Side!
all the cool kids who where out of high school and moving out for the first time from west Columbus wanted to move to the apts beside the mall in the 80s and early ninetees, boy did that change later on, crime capital of Columbus!
This mall has fallen for many years. Last I went was with my father in 2011. We got license plates for his then 1997 Toyota Corolla. We walked in the mall, the bmv was right there, it was an hour wait, so we waited, we walked deep into the mall, and as soon as we got to the Andrew’s Jewelers/Lazarus area, that is where I got a weird feeling in me, that this is where we had to stop. I remember when this mall was packed! It’ll be demolished soon. 1969-2023
Considering the amount of videos taken here that are just churning out, I'm surprised they didn't board up the entrances, let alone lock them. It's my understanding that some of the doors are unlocked and possible homeless activity inside. Did you see any rent-a-cops?
This mall used to have lots of security onsite in the Sears auto center if I remember correctly. But I wonder if they aren’t there any more as there have been quite a few videos come up online about this mail as of late.
Shit! Everyone that remembers LAAAAAAZUGHRUS (LIKE THE GUY RAISED FROM THE DEAD) in Columbus is Hearing fingernails on a chalkboard the way he's saying it!!! you can tell he's young and not from central OH for sure!
I drove past this place many times while traveling. Wish I would have stopped and checked it out. Thanks for the video!
Yep that's the local mall of my childhood and teens. Even hooked up with a guy I met in the Men's room in 86 ! Seriously!
Finnaly I get to see the inside!!
Great video man!
Thank you Andrew!

I never got a chance to go here but I have visited the Ohio Thrift right across the street.
I didn’t know about that thrift shop, would have checked it out! Thank you for watching!!

Eastland is finally being closed. Tuttle is next. They keep talking about turning Westland and surrounding area into Weston…like Easton of course.

Yeah a security company is based in that building
You think it's still possible to go inside after the recent news of the demolition?
