I got mine from a company called M2 inc. Works great. Also, if you do a search for “Safariland ratchet belt modification” you’ll find a 3-1/2 minute video of someone explaining the setup in full detail.
What sized shot at what velocity are you guys shooting in 3 gun?
I knew the owner of Safariland, Neale Perkins back in the '80s. Safariland has always made good quality gear, later getting into the body armor business. At the time, Bianchi was their biggest competitor.
I have a safariland IIIA vest ive had for 30 years. When it was about 20 years old I shot it about 50 times with just about every handgun caliber you could imagine, up to and including 500 magnum AND a 12 gauge 3" magnum slug. It stopped all of it. (Videos can be seen on my channel). I still have that vest. And though I dont wear it, i have no doubt it would still stop all rated threats even to this day.
Safariland makes AWESOME kit.
Y’all are living in 2015. The outer belt is 62-76 dollars. Inner is 23-40 dollars.
