Hi guys. Writing to you from Russia. I hope you forgot the Typhoon-class submarines. And Borei-class as a bonus. Those are really deadly toys) So unlucky that we have only one Typhoon left :( Anyway, i hope neither we nor american ever use them, because any of this sub can annihilate a huge territory
The last Typhoon is out of service since 6 February 2023. But yes it was a monster.

Not all of the submarines are of the attack class. Some are missile boats, they are part of nuclear deterrence triad. But they are not here, to killed other subs, and ships, plus land attack.

The US DOES have the most tech advanced subs. We choose to share sub tech with the UK & Australia.

Correction: The PRIMARY purpose of Attack Submarines is to destroy enemy submarines -- mainly their Ballistic Missile Subs, but also their attack subs to protect our SSBN's.
Attacking surface ships is secondary.
