The Dutch Walruss-class is rightfully number one because it's the only diesel-electric to annihilate literally half the US carrier taskgroup including 5 or 6 frigates and destroyers and even a Los Angeles-class nuclear attack sub, all of it while remaining undetected and getting away unharmed afterwards. The Dutch are widely revered in naval circles because of it. Just Google "Dutch sub sinks half US navy" and you'll find a dozen articles about it.
A portuguese U-209PN (german made) sub from the Tridente class did exactly the same so that’s not a big deal for the best electric subs, and the best is not even mentioned in this pathetic video, wich is exactly the U-209PN, a special version made for the portuguese navy.
The only reason the Gotland even got close was because of the scenario requirements that the surface ships couldn’t use active sonar. The US military frequently hobbles itself in wars games to see how effective specific systems are without the support of other systems. @@camefromabove1422 España lleva décadas fabricando submarinos en conjunto con Francia pero eso deja ver el poco conocimiento sobre la materia que tienes... el U-209PN es como 3 veces mas pequeño que el s80 y no solo en tamaño, sino que en desplazamiento, velocidad, tiempo sumergido y carga... aparte de contar con la vanguardia tecnológica y sigilo ya esta considerado como el mejor submarino convencional del momento... el U-209PN ya tiene una década encima, aparte de que es un diseño mas orientado para proteger costas... deja de hacer el ridiculo.
