Thanks, that's all food for thought. I would just question whether Adam "separated good from evil." God already told them what good and evil was - good was obeying him and evil was eating from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil - to me that meant setting up their own ideas of what good and evil was. I would rather be judged by God's system - after all, it seems incredibly liberal - you can eat of any tree of the garden EXCEPT the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We are harder on ourselves than God is - as David said - "Let me fall into the hands of God rather than man."
