Great video Mr. Jacobsen. It is very straightforward and easy to understand. Very well explained. I used it to teach a student, she understood it immediately. Looking forward to seeing more great videos like this!
Thank you very much, I didnt understand this topic and I watched many videos and still couldnt. But when I watched this video I get it perfectly and got my homework correct.
I like your demo of the pattern - never thought of it that way. One way we help our students understand why neg x neg = pos is we build in that a negative also means "opposite of". So -3(-2) can mean "the opposite of 3 groups of negative 2" -- if that makes sense. We also use number lines and chips for our visual learners....
my teacher gave me an assignment to watch this video and make a video review and this is an unlucky day for me because my brain is very slow OOOOOOOOOOOOFF
That would be 2×X+14 so Al you need to do is solve for X and then its simple math. Let's say X was 5 the the equation would look like this 2×5+14 which is a lot easier, so as long as you know the answer and need to solve for X, if your told what X is or know how to solve for X then your all good
this man would be the best teacher
