- Cinnamon Bun likes to flip bowls! Cinnamon Bun and Morty are a bonded free-roam house rabbit couple. They're free range rabbit, or free roam rabbit, and have free range of the house, but they have their own bunny room. We often see them grooming each other (mostly Morty grooming CB), doing bunny zoomies and binky around the house, and sleeping in bunny flop position. Bunnies love cuddling! It's full of interesting rabbit behaviors. It's important to understand rabbit behavior and body language when you have bunnies and in order to bond with your bunny. Morty kind of looks like a dwarf rabbit, but he's likely Chinchilla and Silver Marten mix (he's an adopted rabbit). CB might be Harlequin and Holland lop mix. Cinnamono Bun and Morty are so beautiful together. It's nice seeing them chewing their own sticks and not stealing the other bun's stick... at least for a little while hehe. Cinnamon can still vacuume up her food! As for the bowl flipping, yes my bun is also a bowl flipper. So we got him Ceramic bowls with very heavy bottoms for his water and heavy flat plates for his veggies. He can't flip those, no grip with the teeth hehe

My female cat, Sadie, must have been born around bunnies because she has some really rabbit like behavior, especially bowl flipping! She also likes to chew cardboard boxes and is very bothered if anyone touches or moves her things. My male cat, Tabby, doesn’t seem to mind. 😊

Hahaha. Interesting!😄 I don’t know much about cats, but I heard that a lot of bunnies and cats get along well. Cats use litter boxes and groom themselves just like bunnies do and I think they’re kind of similar.😀🐰🐈

I'm always amused how your bunnies steal treats from each other and you have to guide them to a treat right in front of them 😂 The bowl flipping thing is fun to watch... Yes, they always steal whatever the other one has! Even when they have the same stuff! The grass is always greener on the other side even in the bunny world.😆🐰 I agree that they probably want to forage rather than eating out of a bowl.

For cats you are meant to use larger flat bowls because they can get whisker fatigue when they touch the sides of more narrow deep ones, maybe bunnies experience something similar!
That’s an interesting point! I’ve heard about whisker fatigue in cats. I think it’s possible that bunnies experience something similar.🤔🐰🐈
They will flip any open container that's too deep. Maybe a large almost flat plate could to the trick as the rabbit would put its paws inside the plate.

MY rabbits will KICK plates until they get them flipped. I just settled for mounting something to the side of their X-pen.

I think she flips it because she doesn't like how the bowl touches her whiskers, maybe you could try giving it to her on a plate to see if she still wants to flip it

Je pense que pratiquement tous les lapins retournent leurs bols et leurs gamelles, c'est pour attraper plus facilement la nouriture et aussi parfois cela sert à faire du bruit pour faire comprendre à leurs parents humains que la gamelles est vide et qu'il faut la remplir rapidement 🤣, c'est ce que fait Lapinou quand ont tarde à lui donner son repas 🐰🥗🎶 ! Oui, les lapins ont besoin de beaucoup de repos, surtout pendant la journée ! 😄🐰💤 Je suis d'accord. Je ne pense pas que Morty se soucie de toiletter CB tout le temps. C'est un moyen pour lui de montrer son amour pour elle. 😊🐰❤️ Les lapins sont très intelligents. We're not planning anything today, but the bunnies definitely will get some special treats!😄🐰🎆 It's been rainy here too. It's sunny and hot today, though. ☀️ My dad likes the paddle board too. He gets super tanned. I've never tried it, but it looks more relaxing than surfing.😄🌊

I think the bowl flipping has to do with their whiskers. They touch the edge of the small bowl, and it feels weird.
It makes sense that they don’t like their whiskers touching the edge of a bowl. Bunny whiskers are sensitive!🐰🙂
Anyone know the breed of these rabbits? I have a very similar one but I’m unsure of the breed.
I think they're mixed
CB's likely harlequin and lop mix, and Morty might be chinchilla and Silver Martin mix.🐰
