thats how it works. Remember Einstein couldnt really get a proper job in Physics until he published his 3 brilliant papers in 1905. Timing and the topic of your PhD is critical for your first post doctoral positions

Hello James. Remember that guy you played Tetris (Atari) against at the Classic Gaming Expo '99? I remember it like it was yesterday. :) I see you're still playing and likewise, I haven't stopped either. I have since lost my WR on the Atari Tetris a few years back, and haven't tried to get it back due to how obscure the game is these days, unless you play it on MAME of course. It's just not the same though. Although some have adjusted to the emulated version and have score close to 4M which is an incredible score in of itself. More than twice the WR on the arcade version. Congrats on accomplishing your PhD in Physics! It's hard to believe when we duked it out on Tetris that weekend, that was almost 20 years ago already!! :) Take care, - Stephen -

when I was at university in bristol I lived over the road from paul dirac's house and despite being a biologist Ive always had a fascination for the revolutions in physics a century ago because it must have been such an incredible time with the whole concept of reality been re-written by all those semi-legendary names, schrodinger, rutherford, planck, bohr, lorentz, einstein, dirac, heisenberg, pauli &co so it was strange to walk past where he grew up and think how some of that craziness originated right where I was
