I, just had this problem with my Joey this morning. After I woke up this morning. I’ve been fighting with it for 30 minutes, I started with resetting the Joey with the remote. That didn’t work, hold the button down to reset the Joey.” That didn’t work, the I checked the coax connections to the Joey and wall. That didn’t work, so I unplugged the TV, Joey, surrounded system and the Xbox from the outlet.” For 2 minutes or more, I plugged the TV, Joey, and surround sound system back in. Let the Joey boot up, rhetorical tv activity screen popped up. Then available runners suddenly popped up!! It’s working again Yay!!!! Thank the lord!! I got TV!!
The FIRST thing you should check is the TV's input. To make sure someone didn't accidentally hit the wrong button and switch the TV off of the HDMI input that the Joey is connected to. I forgot to do that and spent a lot of wasted time and frustration with complicated procedures that did not work.🤔🙄☺️
very true but with mine it was a bit different where they are all working and connected but they will not connect to the main box no matter what I did so resetting the main Hopper box reset all the Joey's as well and every thing work fine.not sure why are the reason why they stop connected to the main box,and ever since then it's been working fine.
google posts indicate most new joeys are bad out of the box and wont stop downloading. Some tech's have to try 3-4 to get one that works. That means each time a new one is plugged in you have to wait that 20 minutes for new downloads to see if it works.
yes I believe it goes through the tv cable or the Wi-Fi that's how they did it for us i just dont remember they did it so fast when they set it up and installed it.
@@NICKSSHOP I went through technical support and its that I wait one to two days for it to be done updating and if it still doesn't work I call them and they would give me a new small joey.

Or just hold down the Power/Reset button on front of Joey for about 5 seconds.
