Wish I could use a vice more but with the stock I get and the parts I make where a face operation to thickness is hardly ever needed I found this to be the quickest way for OP1 for my workflow...

Tape might stick a little better if u didn't drill so many holes in your bed lol 😅

It is sacrificial by the look of it. But i agree. I would hate it if there would be a permanent whoopsie.
