Alright, then.
I was downgrading my 4s on 6.1.3 and following the guide. Always says "This iPhone cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run ITunes installer to remove ITunes , then install the 64 bit version of ITunes" even though I am on 64 bit and using the 64 bit ITunes.
This has been happening on the latest version of ITunes as well as 11.4, 11.1.5, 12.0.1 and 12.1.3 while p0sixpwn always says "p0sixspwn requires iTunes 10.5 or above" even if I use the correct versions. I tried removing them and reinstalling over and over but still doesn't work. Can't use Redsn0w and I use Windows 10, Legacy iOS Kit is a pain to use. How do i fix this
Did you try running P0sixpwn as an administrator?
The only Windows 7 PC I have is a Dell Latitude D800 running Windows Thin PC, which is Windows 7 but runs better on that laptop. I will try this on Windows 11.
You should try it on your Windows Thin PC machine because P0sixpwn should work better on Windows Thin PC than on Windows 11.

@@TheiTunesFanboy I’m sorry if I took five billion years to respond, iTunes shows up error #21 or #1602.
1) It’s okay.
2) Check and modify your computer’s third-party security software if it has it; close and reopen iTunes; see if your cable and computer are functional; try a newer iTunes version; and/or attempt restoring with a different computer. If everything checks out and you are still receiving the error, then the iPod is permanently dead.

No, I have not.
Hi it detects the device and I have the right itunes installed, but it just gets stuck on the waiting for device to reboot and nothing happens on the ipod is unaffected (this is on windows10)
You should try using an older version of Windows like Windows 7 or you could try the other tips I offered in the video, such as running P0sixpwn as an administrator or in Windows XP compatibility mode.

I used the isrg root profile and its stuck on “Done: Packages” when it refreshes Cydia, all the sources are blank, and it doesn’t ask for the essential upgrades

Your iPhone is either too new, you have a 32-bit version of iTunes on a 64-bit Windows installation, or you have a 64-bit version of iTunes on a 32-bit Windows installation.

That is normal. As Cydia is messing with the filesystem, the device thinks its storage is almost full.

Aside from the potential solutions I mentioned in this video, I have not found any solutions.
Help! I am stuck on a bootloop now. The apple logo shows and then the device just keeps bootlooping.
You need to restore your device in iTunes. If iTunes gives you error 9 or 27 after restoring, then your device’s motherboard is dead, which means that your device is unusable. If a restore still does not fix your device, then it likely needs a new battery.
@@TheiTunesFanboythanks! You know I wanted to jailbreak iOS 6 on a dual boot with coolbooter because I did not check the option to jailbreak the second os when installing. I guess I was having issues because coolbooter will boot into main os if you are connected so it wouldn’t boot into iOS 6 unless I unplugged and that would’ve interrupted the jailbreak process.

You need to verify that you have the version of iTunes that I linked in this video’s description installed on your computer and that the installer is correct for your system.
i can’t get it to recognize that there is a device. My computer knows that it’s plugged in but the jailbreaking application doesn’t.

No, you cannot; you must restore it in iTunes first before rejailbreaking.

The cable is good since its the same one i used to transfer music to my ipod. In fact its a original apple ipod 30 pin connector cable. So i dont understand why it wont work..

If your iPhone 4S is running iOS 7 or later, you can adjust the volume with the Control Center. Otherwise, change the volume in the Music app.

I am doing it on vmware windows 7 and after rebooting the device, p0sixpwn isn't responding and crashes. It's so annoying...
It frequently crashes, and VMs are generally not stable. Just try P0sixpwn with Windows 10 or 11 first before attempting a VM.

I got that too, but I used 11.2 and it didn’t work. What I did was deleted all Apple programs in control panel, then restarted my computer, then I opened the iTunes download (I used 11.1.5, 11.2 didn’t work gave me the ‘you need iTunes 9 message).
Once iTunes was done installing, I headed straight to the ipsw program and I got it to work.

For me it says “iTunes is started with a new version of iTunes”

You can, but attempt it on your normal Windows version first.

That is a common issue. Either run P0sixpwn in Windows XP Service Pack 1 compatibility mode (or try other Windows XP compatibility modes), and if that does not work, then try using Windows XP, Vista, or 7, instead of 8, 8.1, 10, or 11 if you are or can.

You don’t need to. You may need to install an older version of iTunes that is not too old for iOS 6 if you haven’t already.

Istg please do not use this tutorial. It has bricked various people's devices, caused hundreds of problems and is generally just crappy. Just try 5.1.1 jailbreak.
1) I have never heard of P0sixpwn bricking devices before.
2) The macOS version works far better than this!
3) Some people want to jailbreak their iOS 6 devices and their iOS 5 devices, such as myself! Also, not all iOS devices that run iOS 6 can easily run iOS 5!

@@TheiTunesFanboy I downgraded iTunes, and my device isn’t recognized in iTunes, the jailbreak software, or even 3UTools, and I’ve tried this on two computers, it’s recognized in the file explorer though
