    There is just something about watching two individuals choosing to do life together, tackling all things from folding laundry to just making your house a home for your family. You two exemplify exactly what family should be. Our basic human natures playing out, two committed people making life better than they could individually, especially for your kiddos. Idk, I know I sound crazy but watching yall do the things, both separately and together for one common mission; the success of your lives… just awesome. ❤

    The Old English polish brought back memories! It used to come in a glass bottle when I was a kid. Momma cleaned the furniture & would also use it on the hardwood floors in the house I grew up in. When I was real little, she'd put me on an old towel or something and drag me around the floor to polish it! After I got older, we'd put on some of daddy's old socks, she'd put on music and we'd scoot around the floors to bring out the shine! That is some good stuff! Y'all have got things looking so nice! I can't believe all the stuff y'all do on your own! I loved hearing the sweet giggles when Kyle was playing with one of his little sweethearts! Thats so precious! Y'all are just an amazing & blessed family! It does my heart so good to see how y'all work together at making your home special. But, also, take some time to relax and enjoy all your hard work! Love MoonPie's little antics! Much love & hugs from VA! ❤️‍🩹

    I had an above ground pool for years. I did not know a thing about our first pool, so I just went to a swimming pool center where they had all the things I needed. They helped quite a bit. I recommend you do that. They can help you with the pool chemicals that you need, as well as what you need to operate and clean the pool filter. Sometimes the water may need special chemicals from time to time, and the pool center can help you manage any water issues you will have. You will need a good pool net to help keep it clean. Make sure you have a ladder that has a child safety pool ladder guard or a ladder made for child safety. No matter how well we keep an eye on them sometimes they can be awfully sneaky. It does take work, but it is so nice to have in the summers.

    Hey Courtney,I have had both inground( at the house we sold) and now an above ground pool, I love it. Anyway my first tip is Don’t take your pool down for the winter. Leave it up year round. When you open it up for the next use shock it ( sold at Walmart) and buy a floating chlorinater , this keeps the pool chlorine dispensing slowly . Test kits to test water. All this is at Walmart and the test strips tell you what you need to add to get your water correct. It is really easy to keep it up. Thank you for another great video. God Bless. Watching you reminded me I need to do my hutch which I do once a year with Old English. I also use Old English Lemon Oil on my lighter wood furniture. My daughter built 3 desks with precut unstained lumber and used the old english as a stain and several coats of polyurethane and they came out beautiful. That stuff lasts a long time because you don't need much. For your spider webs: Dollar Tree has a roundish bristle brush (don't remember the proper name for it) but you get that and the handle and it is great for getting the cob webs. I get a lot in my garage and porch and it works.

    Hey, If you may want your husband check the pool pump , just incase you need to buy another. The pool pumps are always cheaper online during the winter months . Also if you have to get a new pool pump go with a bigger pump than the basic one it came with. Remember the more the water flows (circulates) the less your chances of pool water turning green (algae) . Sand filter pumps are the best. I enjoy all your content 😁

    You need to go to a pool store and ask them how to winterize a pool. We had a big pool for years and my husband did it. I know you keep it full and add a bunch of chemicals and float some balls under the cover. To hold the tarp up. That's all I know. But if you do it right you can open it and swim. If you do it wrong you have to empty it and scrub the sides down then fill it again. Which take like 2 days. And according to my husband it's hard work. 😊

    Those cupboards may take another coat of old English because they were pretty dry and beat up. I do my cupboards once a month with it to keep them looking new. I put it on and let it dry then wipe off. Takes just a few minutes. Love how you kids make your homes nicer than when you first move in. 🥰

    Think hard about leaving dirty green water in there . One thing if the water in there freezes how much will ice damage the pool. My kids always empty and clean theirs out . They still do some cleaning in the spring but I don’t think it’s as much as it would have been. This is just my opinion, so just do what you think is best.❤❤

    How can I forget I wanted to say that first off Kyle you're doing a fantastic job on covering your pool like that there's really no right or wrong way of doing it Kyle's doing a pretty good job for what you're doing now. But I will say growing up I used to have above ground pool my dad would always maintain the pool but he did too is another tip you can do is take plastic milk containers fill them up with water and then get your string and tie it on the handle of The Milk Jug and then tie it to the top of the pool where there's holes in the tarp and then have them hang all around the pool and that's another way you can do to to keep your tarp from flying off and protect it but Kyle's doing a great job I love you guys so so much❤

    • @reddog40
      @reddog40 18 днів тому +2

      Yes it will anchor the tarp down from blowing off and help leaves and other debris going in.

    Hey Courtney and Kyle, I just wanted to let you know what a chef told me once. You shouldn't salt your steaks until right when you are going to cook them. Salt draws all the juices out of the steak. It will make your steak not as juicy if you salt it way before you cook it. I love everything you're doing to your new home. As a mama and grandma, I am so proud of you both.

    • @StephanieStone4737

      Salting penetrates the meat and draws the moisture out like you said, but then it creates a brine that essentially goes right back into the meat so that it doesn’t dry out. It is essential that you salt it 40 minutes prior to cooking, because it is a chemical process. Marinades are loaded with sodium. Seasoning our steaks with lots of salt is how we have been doing our steaks more recently, and they are delicious and moist 👍

    • @debgersh5555
      @debgersh5555 10 днів тому +1

      Either right before cooking or at least 40 minutes before cooking...the 40 mins will allow the salt to draw the moisture out and let it back in ☺️
