I'm using LightwaveRF plug sockets, light switches and door sensors in all rooms controlled by Alexa. Table lamps are switched by LightwaveRF mobile plug sockets and mood lighting by LifX Colour 1000 bulbs. Electronic locks by Yale Keyfree and Keyless Remote Control Entry. Washing Machine, Tumble Drier, Kettle, Microwave, Crock Pot Oven all controlled via Alexa through LightwaveRF wall sockets. Nest thermostat linked to Nest Protect smoke alarms all connected also. Samsung Gear S3 watch has Nest Control on it, but no Alexa control yet from watch, which is a shame. Demo's similar to yours.

you can get that look with a fiber optics kit, drill small holes in ceiling all over a fiber optic rod goes in each hole and a controller attached to the bundle, they can twinkle, make star patterns, animate the lights, really cool stuff..

You can turn all the lights on and off all at once. You can group all the lights in the Alexa App. He didn't probably use that command, but he probably has it set up that way but for the purpose of this video he just turned them on and off individually.

The remote is WIFI... You connect it with the AMAXON ALEXA app. Its plug and play .. pretty easy to sync up
