🇵🇪🤝🇺🇲 You are all welcome, Peru is not only for getting to know it, but you also feel like it is your home. You are welcome, dear American friends. 🇵🇪🤝🇺🇲
after the hurricane we moved to peru for 3 months until we remodeled our house...the weather is incredible...everything is so simple, I can go to the bodega close to where I live, I can walk what is not done where I live, I feel very well this freedom...
Lima has a natural compact mixed used zoning which Is great for making a city, human scale and walkable. Actually most of peruvian cities have this walking distance commerce and Entertainment. We peruvians have a lot of walking culture. On my 20's I used to meet with Friends to go walking, have and ice-cream or a burger walking for hours, have a soda and then going back home. As well eventhough we are still missing a Big Big Metropolitan Park, the Urban Model which Is Garden City, means organized urbanization have many Little park or Gardens easily accessible, and even the unplanned "Shantytowns" tend to reserve space for little parks and future infrastructure for schools, a church (most of peruvians are practicing Christians) I am not, but we are quite used to respect people's religious believes. Everyone is welcome in Lima and Perú, we are really very open to Tourism.
I'm so excited! I just spent 3 weeks in Peru back in June and it was amazing! I did everything there is to do in Cusco and hiked the Cordillera Huayhuash (highly recommend!). Looking forward to reliving my trip through your lens!
Great video! My wife and I have been to Peru twice, and we also loved the water park. I recommend the Archeological museum, which is amazing. We also arranged a flight over the Nazca lines through our hotel - a four hour minibus ride to the Nazca airport, and then we flew over the Nazca lines in a 10 passenger plane. I did not enjoy guinea pig, but all of the other food was great (even the corn beer). We also did a river boat cruise on the Amazon out of Iquitos for a week. Fantastic!

Yet another excellent video. So enjoyed as I do all of your presentations. I know you spend hours thinking and editing to make all of us enjoy and feel satisfied. You accomplish it week in and week out! I could mention many things I enjoy but what I really like is the upbeat presentation. The choice of music, the visuals, and just your demeanor. Katherin's offerings are the best mix of giggle, nervous laughs and just plain great, knowledgeable and serious explanations of the events. Kathryn, you have the cutest delivery on the planet. Mature but with a wonderful little girl thrown in at the right time. I suspect it comes naturally. I hope you don't take exception to the little girl thing. We know you are a self-sufficient, mature woman!!! I always get the feeling, you run the show unless Adam puts up a big fuss. Beyond that, Adam, you are a very cool guy and deliver everything just right. I/we, thoroughly enjoy your dialogue with us. A finished product that delivers what you both intend. Now my admission. I have never subscribed to any weekly things I watch (perhaps 10) out of concern what that means for a commitment. Enlighten me. I very much like you two. BTW, I am 81 and cautious in this electronic, everyone watching world.
Hey Ed! You are very observant. Kathryn does run the show and I don't put up any fuss haha I'm a very go with the flow person and we work very well as a team. Thank you so much for your kind comments! Subscribing doesn't mean anything other than our videos will show on the UA-cam homepage for you more often. And you can be notified when we post new videos (if you turn that feature on by clicking the bell icon by our name on our page). In reality, "someone (Google)" is always watching whether you subscribe or not haha Thanks, Ed! We enjoy reading your comments
Thanks for posting, I will be there in a few weeks. For my second moto trip in South America. This was a good way for me to add some places in Lima to my iist.
OMG how weird.. yesterday i saw the post about your anniversary and while looking at the pictures i was like, Man i hope they go to Machu Picchu some time.. Because i love the way you explain the history of the areas your in... AND YOU'RE IN PERU!
8:45 That mural is for Sussy Diaz, an exotic dancer, we call it Vedette ( burlesque type) which become famous in Coffee theatre then become a law maker, her campaign was a number 13 in one cheek. Believe or not, one of the best law makers we have and still she’s around in tabloids and gossip magazines. She’s still famous and loved. Even Mugler just used one of her (horrendous cheesy ) songs at Paris Fashion Week.
How can you not like Cats. They are the best ever. I own both a Dog and Cat and I could never have it any other way. Those Cats are so cutie. Love the Cafes too. Peru looks so amazing and welcoming. Those mini pastries look so amazing. Need that Sammy too.
That water show was brilliant. I hope your trip to Machu Picchu is uneventful, after all of the earlier labor issues. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of your adventures in Peru.
It’s an absolute dream destination of mine! Hope you guys enjoy your time there. Beyond excited to see what you capture, absolutely LOVE your film style ✌️
I love watching your videos on my day off. I just caught up on your last 5 videos. It helps me relax, take my mind off things. All the scenery is beautiful. And I have my breakfast while watching cause y'all make me hungry. Thank you for taking us along. You guys are so awesome. Say hi to Kona. 🐭🐁
Fellow foodie here and it looks like you guys did your research, great job with the food choices. I’ve lived in miraflores for a few years and looks like you guys were given some excellent recommendations. Some tips, if you want to try the best caldo de gallina (peruvian chicken soup) try that one out next time at siete sopas. Also you have to head to viena cafeteria delicatessen in jesus maria and try their artesanal lucuma ice cream, it sells out quick so go as early as possible, best lucuma ice cream in the city. If you need any other tips or recommendations, message me.
We really loved Siete Sopas! We did go back a second time, but I couldn't not get the Sopa Criolla...it was my favorite soup! We had lots of soups on our trek and they were all so good. We're back home now, but we never got to try lucuma ice cream unfortunately! Still sad about it! Thanks for the recs!
So happy to see you guys made it to Lima, Peru. ❤❤😍😍😎😎🤘🤘 I am originally from Barranco, but have been living in the US for the last 28 years (in AZ the last 10 years now). That old church by the bridge in Barranco is said to be hunted by a headless priest 😱, there is also a near by Leprechaun Village (some guy built a ton of tiny houses on his backyard and popular folklore started to call it Leprechaun Village). You guys absolutely need to try Lucuma Ice Cream, you’ll totally love it 😋😍👍 And of course our flag dish: Peruvian Ceviche 💪 and don’t worry about the onions, they are not like the onions we get here in the states. Other dishes are, arroz con pollo, lomo saltado, aji de gallina, seco de chavelo, tacu tacu, etc Before this gets too long 😂 if you have the time, make it to Mancora, in Piura, northern Peru. This region of the country has the best weather, the best beaches and the best food 🤯and you can learn how to surf there😂 IMO, the town of Catacaos in Piura has the best food in the country 😉😋
Awesome! We have a food tour coming next that includes many of those foods! We LOVED lucuma ice cream! We didn’t make it to Piura, but it sounds awesome from your description. So many places to visit so little time! Thanks for watching!

I bet the trek from Cusco to Machu Picchu coming up in one of these episodes. We were only there a week, and we saw a lot. I can't imagine how much you are going to see in an entire month.
I hope you tried the coca leaf tea, candies, etc. It is nothing like the powdery white stuff. I found it to be stronger than regular tea but milder than coffee, but no jitters (I’m not a regular coffee drinker). Going up to high elevations at Machu Picchu I had a cold and was really worried, but I drank some coca tea and felt great.
0:02 I just said aloud, to myself, ha!, that you should put that on your living room wall, then remembered you don't have one yet, but when you do, if you do, this is a spectacular still to grab.
