Thank you for this review. This helped make up my mind to buy this Seiko and then pick up the bracelet from Long Island. I have been looking at this model for a minute and now I know what bracelet needs to go on it. Well done
@@crizkelevra6068 I've really enjoyed my bracelet from Long Island and I have had it for about 10 months now. The quality is really good. My only slight complaint is that there is a small gap on the latch when closed but most people would not notice it. For the price, I really like the bracelet,t and it is permanently on my Seido now. I got an Oster bracelet but I probably would have gone with a Jubilee instead but that is just personal preference. The combo of watch and bracelet is awesome and so easy to wear.
just can't stop looking at these SRPE-videos, the 61 is such a nice one. Currently waiting for mine to arrive + the strapcode-oyster...come on, hurry Mr Postman! :D For me it is a dressy-fieldwatch of sorts and regarding 'inspiration': It assembles a lot of the tudor blackbay or even Rolex Explorer, espcially on oyster-style. What I love about the Seikos is the 4 o'clock-crown. If it would only have double-dome-crystal...well, I might work on that ;)
I came to your video having just watched one relating to this model by Long Island Watch who is now producing a fluted bezel for these Seikos. Seeing that strap also from LIW I think I'm got the idea for a great mod. Yes I've got an SKX in my ever growing collection too! Anyway great video, I've subbed, keep safe and safe over there.
Hello bearded watchman, the algorithm takes me to this very appropriate video. I found one of these watches in Japan (Sbsa) and I think Strapcode has raised their prices too much over the last few years. I discovered that Marc from Long Island Watch offered this bracelet for only $59, so I bought it (and the same for an Orient Kamasu). Very nice combo, and very informative video about my choice. Norman friendships.🇨🇵
I know I'm late to the party, but thanks for making this video. I decided to order a srpe61 and put it on a LIW jubilee bracelet also, I've had it for almost a year now and it's definitely an awesome watch. One thing to note though, would have been nice if they made the bracelet with female, solid end links. Uncle seiko has female end links, but they're hollow.
It's almost funny that everyone prefers the brushed 61 model over the polished 51. Then they buy a non OEM matching bracelet. Uncle Seiko and Strapcode have made a lot of money out of these watches. I'm not saying that it's bad. Actually it's wonderful to have such a great looking watch at a very low price and then buff it up.
Wow that bracelet looks pretty good. The pics on the website make it look super chunky, but that clearly isn't the case for the actual product on the watch. Honestly leaning towards this vs Strapcode's offering.
Good afternoon. I have automatic Seiko srpe61k1 and i started the watch manualy, about 20 turns crown and put it on the shelf. they were without any motions and they stopes after 9 hours. Is it normal? Im worried because in the instruction says that they must run 41 hours.
You can not over wind this watch so don’t worry about the count of turns. 20 should be about half way full so go more than that. After you wind wear for a full day. The watch should last at least 2 days before needing to wear or wind again. If you wear it every day for you shouldn’t have to ever wind it again. Also if you put it down on Friday it should still be running Monday. If it’s not you might send it back to Seiko.
Tbh, this is the best looking seiko in recent years
So just got my E61 in a few days ago and the next day my Island Oster bracelet showed up. A winning combo for sure. Love this watch.

Do you have the bracelet allready? Hows the quality?

Great review. I recently bought this watch, just watching videos on it because i like it so much!
Thanks for watching. I need to start back up making videos
I noticed the quality of your lighting right away. Well done.
Thanks a lot for this helpful and attractive review 🙏
My pleasure 😊

Good deal. Thanks for watching

Agree on the end links. I have already lurched the Uncle Seiko with female endlinks

Nice job. I just got mine yesterday. Haven’t taken it off and won’t take it off for quite a while!
Im so jealous rn😭😭
So the difference between this and 51 is only the polishing on the case?
SRPE61 with grey Colareb Napoli is very stylish and comfortable. Came with grey NATO strap.
I prefer unsigned crowns on everyday watches. Doesn‘t have to look like a darn Invicta.
It looks a lot like the Black Bay 41

This watch looks great on an uncle Seiko tropic strap as well in case your not feeling a metal bracelet
I will give it a try. Thanks
Very nice review man
@9:09 40mm case.😊
just picked this up. my first automatic watch. is it normal for the rattling when the watch moves?
just fyi the brushed bezel only comes on the nato strap version. The one that comes with a bracelet is polished.
True. And it’s the same for every colour.
He already said that in the video like 3 times
@@LorianandLothricjust wanted to reiterate that the 51 is the polished bezel while the 61 is the brushed bezel. Now you know.
The side of the case for srpe61 is polished. Is the side for the case of srpe51 brushed or polished?
Polished

You keep saying 67 which is it? is this the SPPE61?
SRPE61 sorry about that.
Watchman , can you tell me where I can get the bracelet band ? Thx for the info , good content . Keep making it do what it do.
Longisland watches
StrapCode or the one you see here is from Longislandwatch.com
Can u put link of the bracelet on the description?
www.longislandwatch.com/Islander_Watch_Bracelet_p/brac-10.htm
Really good review. This model is interesting. It would look way better without their new weird crushed 5 design.
It looks better then the dorky shield......
You mean the Superman logo
So do the skx013 bracelets not fit these?
No
Why do you keep saying 67?!
Probably because I screwed up. Lol!
Is this bracelet better than a uncle seiko or a strapcode?
Not better than StrapCode but slightly better than uncle Seiko. If StrapCode had one that fit this watch I would go with that one.
@@beardedwatchman1384 They do now actually, and it is only $10 more than the Long Island Watch one. I'm likely going that route myself.
