Hello Anastasia! I've been checking your videos regularly for a while. I moved to Stockholm this week and will be working as a Software Engineer at Klarna next week onwards. Your videos have been very helpful to me. Thanks. :)
I have been working as a Data scientist for almost two years and start thinking about work abroad for a while. Thanks for your content, things are more obvious and worth being done.
I think almost everyone who watched at least two of your videos would predict that you don't like talking about your personal life, is quite obvious. Thanks for your time and content :)
Thank you very much for answering my question 😁 I will take a look at those companies you have mentioned... I'm now already applying for jobs and I find quite a lot of announcements in my field in English, so it doesn't look too bad so far 👍🏻
Hi Anastasia. I am based in the UK wih a bachelors in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychology. I am currently finishing my master's degree in Applied Psychology of Music and trying to figure out what my next steps are. I have really enjoyed watching your videos over the past few weeks and it has inspired me to start considering data analytics / data science as a career path. Great content :)
Hi, I also would like to study data science in my masters degree. May I ask which university did you go ? I am currently in my last year in electrical engineering so would you have some recomendation for me ? Thanks.
Hi Anastasia, Thank you for making this video. Quite helpful! I graduated last month with MSc. in Statistics and Machine Learning from Linköping University (3 hrs away from Stockholm). I want more help on cracking the technical round interviews for Data Science and Machine Learning. For an entry-level job in these positions what are the kind of questions are asked, what should I more focus on? Some companies ask only about accuracies and KPIs, some only concentrate on core mathematical statistics during Zoom interviews. It is confusing as to how much and what should I cover? Also, will it possible for you to tell us what are the top 20 Data Science and top 20 Machine Learning questions that interviewers ask? My master thesis is in Deep Learning and Statistics for improving Brain tumor segmentation using synthetic images GANs and while I would really love to work as a Deep learning engineer but all positions want a Ph.D. and 5 years+ of experience even for entry-level positions. Also, sorry for writing so much.
Hi Anastasia!! I really enjoy your vlog, and please keep publishing when you have time. I have one question regarding to the new comer to Stockholm, that is, how can I build up connections in professional life? How should I start a Fika? Is it a little awkward if we have not much to talk? What would you suggest to prepare for meeting someone? thanks a lot for your time and looking forward to your feedback.
My concern about Sweden is around safety and also the situation with housing, which are kind of linked together. There also seems to be this Swedish culture of not being honest. There are a lot of scams in Sweden, which is unusual considering everyone says how safe it is. The issue around the the rent control, queueing system meaning that the only available spaces are in unsafe areas with crime, where women are unsafe alone, unemployment is high, where there is religious persecution, these are all real issues for people living in these disadvantaged areas - It is segregation. The fact your only option to find a house is to buy one, or have a overpriced second contract that someone is subletting. I did consider taking a job there but once I started looking at things more deeply, I felt there might be better places to live.
First hand rental contract requires queuing for many years. If you just move to Stockholm, you are right, your options are second hand rental or purchase. I believe, this is similar to many other capitals in Europe. If you want to rent an apartment in Paris for example, you will have to pay a lot and have a perfect paperwork :)
may i ask, i want to become a data analyst or marketing data analyst, and now I'm in a bachelor of business informatics, is it a right degree to get that kind of job?
Hello anastasia, Recently completed my master's degree in data science. I am looking for opportunities in data analytics/data science for entry level jobs. I've knowledge on sql, power BI, excel, and python as well. My current status is working as ML & AI applications Intern. My question: When I go through job description's the most of the firms are looking for experience candidates for hiring. I've experience with several interns. How can I get the experience without experience & analytics role in sweden?.
@@AnastasiaKVL I checked it there but couldn't find anything regarding visa. Is there any way you can find it out since you already work there. It would help me a lot.
There won’t be any specific general information. If the candidate is found suitable, the decision will be made on a case by case basis. I am not speaking on the behalf of my employer.
Hello Anastasia I like your career as a data scientist and you're beginning to make me fall in love with data science.pls I want to go into data science on my own without cs degree pls what are the languages to pick up in going into data science and how many years do you think I can self teach myself before becoming pro efficient in it. Thanks
Thank you! For the mentor, I think it really depends on what your goals are with mentorship and who can you connect with to be your mentor. Personally, I have had unofficial mentorships with more senior colleagues turned friends, where we could just talk about career progression and they would give me some perspective I didn't have. For a successful mentorship, it's really important to align on values, goals, and interests, so that both parties benefit from this experience. However, if you are interested in a more entry level mentorship, this could be really good too, there are a lot of things that you only really learn when you start working at a company or in academia. Finding someone who has a career path you aspire to have could be beneficial!
Awesome and really really helpful, I have a question about the video. I'm a Front End developer, 21 years old from Iran. If I get a job offer can I get work permit and visa with a high school diploma and no work experience?? Thanks A Lottt

Hi! What is your point of view on whether or not to do a PhD upon completion of the master's degree?
Does someone know how old is Anastasia?

Thank you!

Hey I'm from India.I love to watch your videos ,can I work In other countries if I have a degree from my own country??
in sweden
Mam, for data scientist should I choose berlin or any specific city of Sweden...
I dunno, I chose Sweden for myself :)

I've visited the Swedish immigration website but I am not sure, sorry, that is why I asked you.
As far as I know, having a higher education or work experience is not a requirement for a visa. So if you get a job offer, this should be enough.
