Great video! I will be backpacking Costa Rica by using public busses from destination to destination. I'm still confused about the bus situation from hostel to activities. For example: La Fortuna, how do I get from my hostel to the volcano hike, the famous waterfalls, the hot springs,.. Do you have any experience? Or is it beter to use taxi's? (is it expensive)
Great Question! you might need to take a taxis for some of those situations, but your hostel might also be able to point you in the direction of a transportations service that will be cheaper. Taxis aren't too expensive, but you will save lots if you can use a shuttle for those sorts of trips, hope that helps!
What kind of jobs do they have in CR for foreigners who wish to stay there for a few months or so besides being a DM? I'd love to spend some months there doing odd jobs away from a computer. In fact, I would love to watch videos of places that people can work for a small living for a few months in various countries besides working holidays and DM!
Unfortunately none that I know of... I think Costa Rica really wants to protect their local job market.. I agree with you tho, it would be nice to do odd jobs away from the computer!

How was the ride on the bus? I heard there's no AC. Was it comfortable?

The Playa Grande pipe house is pretty cool, but more expensive. the Salina is pretty good. right in town and good amenities!
