The thing you said bout "hit it once and you're gucci" is so true, the muscle memory timing is everything for me honestly I also recommend people to practice comboing after dropping the perfect to go into a normal combo, otherwise your average df2 will give you 0 dmg online lol
Great video ! I will add some note for others who want more information: - 2 ways to do pewgf: 1)➡️⬇️↘️👊 (more consistent on stick from what i heard) 2)➡️☆↘️👊 - You can cheat by "buffering" the start of the electric. When the df2 hit, hold ➡️ then all you have to do is to pull the trigger as soon as kazuya recovers from the move (or as soon as the legs of the opponent hit the floor). Either by doing ⬇️↘️👊 or ☆↘️👊 - if you prefer the 2nd method (➡️☆↘️👊) you have to be so fast that the neutral input is only 1 FRAME. Rewatch the video when SirStaccs is doing df2 into pewgf, the neutral input is ALWAYS 1 FRAME - for pad players: you can do the electrics by press 2+3 instead of 2. Why? Because for some reason you can be wayyy faster that pressing 2. Map your 2+3 on L2 (left bumper) then start practicing! You will notice at the start that you get alot of d2 instead of wind god fist. Its because you way faster! So you need to adjust. Thats all i know
@@eli-onjuice8942 yeah unfortunately thats the biggest flaw about the 2+3 method, you have to be ultra precise. But I've seen kazuya mains use that method, even in ranked. I checked the replay of someone and i noticed that he was fighting a kaz that was using 2+3 to do electrics, thats was pretty cool
Pad player here. I just hit my first PEWGF today, and I landed a few more-one of them got me a 123 dmg floor blast combo. I started at the P1 side. If you’re getting CHdf2 > df2, you’re on the right track. I didn’t budge even though it was frustrating, and I finally got it because one of my attempts was a few frames slower (this means Kazuya was able to recover just in time for the PEWGF to be registered). Keep doing this, and you won’t need to rely on the opponent’s knee or the hit effect disappearing. Relying on “the feel” is much more practical, imo.
I think you need at least a 15 frame electric to get this down. Mine is 15 frames once every 10 minutes of straight practice, damn this move is so difficult.
If you do the f n df2 input he recommends, the forward input can be buffered slightly for you to still get a "13 frame electric", which is what you actually need for the launch Though for consistency you definitely need an almost consistent 13 frame electric
@@f2pdalamixif you buffer the f input, you can surely even get a 12 frame electric, no? I was looking at the control history and even a 16 frame electric is good enough, which gives me hope, kinda, I think the buffering tip is a game changer though.
@@JuliusCaesar103it's because the last frame of your forward input is the only one on an actionable frame, so it is really only 1 frame of forward. when he says "buffer" he means hold until the first frame then let go, so not a real buffer.
pad player here as well, I wont say this to brag but I actually got the TJU pretty easily considering how difficult people say it is, it probably took me less than 3 hours in practice. Best advice I heard that kind of "unlocked" it in my mind was to to cancel taunt with f input then b2. It made it easier because I now see it as just 2 inputs. Im not maining bryan and I can't do TJU consistently at all, I only tried it as a challenge. Ive tried the same with kazuya and PEWGF but genuinely find it a lot harder , still havent made it, I will try the df4 as you said to get a feeling of the timing.
@OctopusH2O Yes, and there's an other indicator even if I didn't set dummy to block, the jet upper counts as the 2nd hit of the combo so you se "2 hits" after landing it. I genuinely did not find tju THAT difficult, I ended up doing in multiple times, but I'm definitely not saying it's easy to do in a real match.
i can get pewgf consistent with stick and pad, but i can't get a consistent pewgf with leverless. I can't do everything else with stick and pad very well or comfortably. I can do ewgf and every other thing very comfortably and consistently with leverless, its just the DF input that i have trouble with
im new to the game, ive played tekken 3 6 and 7 but not kazuya and definitely didnt knew the pewgf but how do you go into stunn after downforward+triangle input im really confused

Bro it’s the same thing with me when I’m actually trying to do it it doesn’t work but I’ll literally finish a match come back into the practice and do it first time but can’t replicate and I have to wait till I finish another match to do it perfectly again.
Do you think pewgf is harder than 4 electrics into df1? Im just curious because it feels infinitely harder to do 4 electrics even though they are compareable in terms of execution (4 electrics isnt just frame)
Most definitely, I use them strictly for quarter circle inputs for characters like Bryan, Paul, but you can fully operate a character with stick with enough practice.
This move is impossible... I play on a controller... maybe it's easier with stick. I know it's a good move, but I think the developers doesn't need to make it THIS hard to pull off... literally being frame perfect is asking WAY TOO MUCH
as someone who’s learned it on both pad and stick it is not impossible (just takes countless hours to land it even once). if ch df2 pewgf was easier it wouldn’t be balanced due to the sheer damage of the technique. also it’s three just frames in a row. for some people it is way too much and they’d rather use their time on other things but it is there if u want to learn it
@@Lexa1.1.2 I can do it on the controller, but never consistently, and never twice in a row. They made it way too difficult to execute… there’s a reason why most kazuya players dont do this in matches. Yes the top players and pro players can do it… but not sure what the point is to have a move that only the top 5% can do
It took me 2 days to learn to perfect electric. If I can do it, it’s not that hard guys. Just put forth the effort

PEWGF for the win
Funny how I have the same pros and cons on P1 vs P2 side as you
20 hours is wild
My personal tip is to look for kazuyas revocer time after df2. He has to stand straight again before inputting the electric
when i can do this but i cant do multiple wavedashes
You’ll get it just keep trying! I can do wavedashes but I can’t do electrics that well
wavedashes are easy EWGF is just impossible for me😂

The problem is when i do df+2, the entry are d,df. You have a tip to do with my thumbs ?
My pad arrows broke after this
so during this vid are you using a pad or stick? cause sounds like a stick. if pad standard ps5 pad? etc?
