I love Tracy's voice, timeless, sultry, raspy just to wonderful. Thank you for helping me through some of the best and worst I ever had to go through. No more cold feet.

This song is obviously a classic, but I'm more concerned with the heartless individuals who would down vote this masterpiece, and this woman. Seriously?
I'm sure it's a jealousy thing. I can completely relate to what your saying in this comment
Those are racists being racists and thinking their opinions matter.
Sometimes it’s bots as well. I’m sure it’s a minority of downvotes, but I’m guessing they make up around 10% (ish) of the number
I always love this song and all her songs, and her voice.
They don’t know shit...
It's 2022 and I'm still listening to Tracy Chapman. Can't get enough!
I know right?!!! Love her music!

How many people been loving this artist since they can remember??
I was torn between her and Alanis Morrisett.
I've loved her since I heard her when I was a kid in the 90s. She is such a great singer❤
@@roderickrayrutledge2740 she is one of my top favs. Love her in Dogma also.
@@callieschaeppi8831 thank you Selina. I have never seen that movie or knew that Alanis was ever in one. I've been sheltered from technology for most of my life. I haven't seen television for over 11 years now. The last time I was in a movie theater was over 20 years now. I just watched a few clips. Thank you for this.❤🙏
@@callieschaeppi8831 who must you be? I am Roddy. An angel I think I am....and so are you, to bring about such urgent connections.
My uncle is an amazing guitar player, I told him in middle school i loved this song. He heard it a few times it played on the radio, by the end of the week he learned it and played it for me. I thought it was the best thing ever!
The first cassette tape that I ever owned was Tracy Chapman (in 1989), and I still love her music!!! Gorgeous voice ❤❤
This song brings back a lot of memories, I really love it, I'm glad you do too, anyways, how's your week going?
For those who just discovered Tracy Chapman during 2024 Grammys... WELCOME!
How many people rolling into 2021 still watching and loving Tracy?!?!?
new years baby
I love her 🎶🎵
TC is on one of my playlists so I can listen to her anytime❣And I would like to thank you for not calling this song a "masterpiece" or saying "you're a legend" >lol
I still love her and her songs...we had the BEST music back in the day..
Oh yes! Still love this woman!
As a kid, my mother, my babysitter, and sister would play this.
As time passes, I would hear it on the radio randomly and would uplift me the same way it always has.
Artists like Tracy make me appreciate music more and more.
This is the song that launched Tracy's career to stratospheric heights. During the mid '90s, this song was playing on the radio all the time. It was then that people discovered some of her other great songs such as Fast Car and Talkin' about a Revolution.
Happy Birthday Tracy!!!!🎁🎈🎉
Tracy Chapman is the truth! Her voice is absolutely incredible! She is warm, creative and a force to be reckoned with! I remember when this jam dropped this like it was yesterday! One of the most underrated vocalists ever!

How can someone be this talented and drop off the music scene. This is such a great song. Come back to us.
This ugly world doesn't deserves tracy soul. That's why she hung up. Too much nasty kicks lies corruptions fake persons and lack of truths in this earth journey especially in music industry. Big lost. shame on us!
Yes please come back!!!!
She is also heavily involved in social activism which she holds very close to her, suffering bullying and racism in her childhood. She really moves me and I feel the pain and depth in her music. Its a sound track to her life, most of our lives really

Absolutely love this tune! It's so bluesy and easy to listen to.
We all know how brilliant Tracy is, but what about that superb guitar playing by the young lady in the fedora hat.
She isn't really playing the song. Lead Guitar on this was played by Adam Levy.
Eric Clapton played lead guitar on a second version of this song, released on Tracy’s Christmas album. He takes it to the next level.
Video actress.
Cliff Wheeler she’s not the one behind the guitar she’s just acting don’t try to shed light away from Tracy

Never gets old , such a good jam
She is just straight up amazing in every possible way. Voice, pitch, rhythm, and songwriting talent.
I knew way back when, this song was gonna be one of the timeless classics. Yes I still watch the video and listen to this song in 21. Still the cool 12 bar blues that it will always be
Sublime. Impeccable timing. Feeling the rythym and the soul in the heart as only Tracy can do.

I was driving across Nova Scotia 2 summers ago and this song came on CBC radio. Im 25 and this is on my daily mix.
As I listen to this, I'm back in my room of the house where I grew up, in Ohio--a rainy night, which I've always loved and I'm 17 years old again--just starting to explore my own artistic side with songs and poetry as I explored life. A memory sorta nondescript, but a good one. Music can be the gateway to another time, when everything wasn't broken and life was always fine...
Well Said 😇
@Teddy Moonbeam I can see it in my mind as I'm reading your text. ❤️
Great expression, I'm right with you! I write a little and try to play hoping one day the magic secret to play my axe like a pro will reveal itself and the rest will be history! I kinda think though that after 40 years of trying it ain't gonna happen lol!
This is one of thoes songs that truly speaks to the soul.
