I'm about to apply this to my RV, and everything I've seen and read has been that you just apply it over the Dicor, so long as the Dicor hasn't begun coming up and letting water in underneath (probably not an issue for you since you say your RV is new). Obviously, you should clean the area and the surface of the Dicor well. I ordered the Eternabond Webseal tape, which is designed to have other sealants applied over it, since I will be coating my roof with Liquid Rubber after taping everything.
Here are two questions: 1) why I should choose butyl tape if I could use PU sealant to bond and seal the hatch in one step? 2) Does the butyl tape really have enough UV resistance to lst at least 5years?
I use this on my RV and I'm trying it on my torn CV boot on my car
This is fantastic for our campers. Need roof repair give it a try.
You've come to the right place! Works great on campers. Good luck with you repair.
Best product! If you do this when your RV is new it will last years
How is it for rusting sheet metal roofs?
New 5th wheel. Do you recommend removing the Dicor sealant, cleaning, then taping. Or just clean and tape over Dicor.
