The first time I heard this song, when the song had only just started, it felt like it was describing what love is to me....then the whole song unfolded, a beautiful feeling came to me. The reason it says "clean" is because there are no remnants of the voices left behind after making it. Voices are recorded on a certain wavelength, and most people who make karaoke videos simply "mute" that certain wavelength. However, there are still echos left over on other wavelengths that some people don't bother getting rid of.

The reason it says "clean" is because there are no remnants of the voices left behind after making it. Voices are recorded on a certain wavelength, and most people who make karaoke videos simply "mute" that certain wavelength. However, there are still echos left over on other wavelengths that some people don't bother getting rid of.

Clean version? Is there a dirty version that I don't know about?
There are two basic approach to create a karaoke version of the song... Either (by frequential analysis) "volume down" the singer - thus using the original studio recording of the song with the original singing voice barely there, but still somehow distinguishable.
The other approach is to re-record the backing completely, by hearing the original, thus having the "clean" backing, without traces of the original singer(s). So this is the second way, the "clean" song.
