I have to say, until now, I’ve never really appreciated how musically advanced this song is. The way it modulates to different keys so smoothly, the fantastic string and French horn arrangement, the rapid-fire bridge section - everything is just so good. It takes a master to build such smooth, unnoticeable transitions between different major and minor keys, and this song does that multiple times in a seamless, impeccable way. Not to diss “We Don’t Talk About Bruno,” but this song is much more musically interesting. “Bruno” essentially has 3 main chords, remains in the same key signature throughout, and doesn’t have nearly the variety that “Let It Go” has. The only part of “Bruno” that can compare to “Let It Go” from a musical standpoint is the final chorus where all the verses come in and blend together. That, I’ll admit, is a fantastic part of the song.
The piano is a generic Steinway in this one and it's terrible However it doesn't have atrocious hard panning like Bruno I like the e-bass in Bruno that mimics an 808 tho better than Let it go I was going to throw a bigger argument but then I listened to Bruno and realized how much the instrumental kinda sucks
I first heard this song before watching the movie, and I was quite fascinated with the bittersweet/melancholic/dramatic bit at the start. It sounds soooo different from pretty much every traditional Disney song I can think of (it reminds me of Evanescence, actually), so that's why I was shocked to know it came from Disney, but at the same time I could also comprehend why it was such a massive hit among the general audience. It's just stunning. By the way, Encanto is one of my favorite animated movies of all time, and it's partially because of its soundtrack. That being said, I've never, ever, to this day, understood why "We Don't Talk About Bruno" is by far the most popular song of the movie. I mean, the musical number is outstanding, but so are the rest (really, the whole movie is just so full of life in every song and every musical number -'Bruno' being one of them- that I'm not even sure it would enter my personal Top 5 musical numbers from the movie). The one that excells the most IMHO is "The Family Madrigal", so seeing such a massively disproportionate love towards 'Bruno' kind of baffles me because I've never known the actual reason behind it. Seems like a very oddly-specific and random choice at the same time.

Even the instrumental version alone is amazingly beautiful! That piano playing is astounding! Take that combined with amazing inspirational lyrics sung by a very beautiful voice: no wonder why this song is STILL so darn popular after all these years! My Middle School's Advanced Band Preformed this. I had never heard the instrumental version before that. Except the piano was replaced by flutes, clarinets, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and all kinds of instruments. It was beautiful, and I hope that one Day that my band will preform something that beautiful.
Eh, I thought so at first. But then lucky me, me and my little sis went to go see it in the Walt Disney Theater on the Disney Cruise. Because she's in a wheelchair, we got the entire balcony seats to ourselves. And we were kinda far from everyone else and had already seen it before. So when this scene came and I started singing along, keep in mind, we were right next to the speakers, I actually never went into my head voice. Surprisingly when I sing this with just my diaphram, I actually sound pretty good

My Middle School's Advanced Band Preformed this. I had never heard the instrumental version before that. Except the piano was replaced by flutes, clarinets, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and all kinds of instruments. Eh, I thought so at first. But then lucky me, me and my little sis went to go see it in the Walt Disney Theater on the Disney Cruise. Because she's in a wheelchair, we got the entire balcony seats to ourselves. And we were kinda far from everyone else and had already seen it before. So when this scene came and I started singing along, keep in mind, we were right next to the speakers, I actually never went into my head voice.
