She could have phrased it diplomatically, merely noting stylistic changes from his previous films and asking about any positives or the challenges the actors felt or how it related to the source material, I dunno, anything civil, but it felt like she just had to be edgy and have her little contrarian dig to get attention. Professional critics are awful. But to her point, many people went to see JB and were expecting Pulp Fiction 2 and let it get in the way of their own enjoyment. I saw both in the theater upon release and was slightly guilty of it myself. But I didn't walk out of Jackie Brown thinking "how boring and self indulgent," I thought "that was a bad ass movie."
...and yeah, they don't make guys like Forster anymore. What a guy. Criminally underused, he should have been in so many more films. Thankfully Vince Gilligan saw it.
The reporter at the beginning must have left the room after Samuel L. Jackson pointed out why a film about over 40 have a different vibe "which you're not"...brilliant answer.
i didnt think it was drawn out at all i loved it and wonder why i hadnt seen this movie back when it was released or a few years after , i thought it was real life like and unpredictable
some one spoke of being drawn out , when I viewed the movie ,I felt like the forth wall ,like I was there in the movie witnessing the characters , not in a seat in the theater
No she’s just an aging person who was born to two people . She was created like the rest of the creation, beauty does not make a thing or person supreme. When she eventually dies her body will either be buried or cremated.
Roger Guenveur Smith should have played Malcolm X directed by Norman Jewison (who directed Soldier Story) Spike Lee putting himself in his own movie was so dumb, dumb, dumb....
The question at 6:02 comes from a guy who completely doesn't know what he is talking about. Of all people, addressing this kind of question to Samuel L. Jackson (who has a particularly rich theatrical experience and in a way is an acting 'power house', regarded one of the best craftsmen in Hollywood by both critics and the public) is at least inappropriate. Just a very, very stupid question from an unprepared journalist (if even) who felt he had to say something just for the sake of saying it. Just do you homework next time before blathering with no sense.
why this great great actor Samuel jackson make now film where he kills arabe ? that he forget than anaywere in arabe word peaple was and still support blak peaple against white racism ? Salue has forget that ? that he know that his country make war for petrol ? killing inocent in irak just for petrol? so why he make those dirty movie like those cowboy film or american war movie in vietnam....im so disappointed because i like so this actor but not now anymore mister samuel you have to rec=spect the peaple around the word who was and still near blak peaple against racism respect us please and dont do this kind of stupid film let this to Tom Cruise or another stupid actor

Robert answered that first (dumb) question beautifully and eloquently. What a fine actor he was
wasn't even a question. Just a dumb self indulgent statement.

I’m surprised they used the n word at a press conference so openly rather than say the n word. It’s refreshing though .
There should have been a sequel.
