Good morning Kyle. Liked all the toys today. Not into Butterfly knives, but the trench design was clever. Also Liked the axe knife, Ulu with a touch of psycho, wish it was a better steel. Dao, nice. But I of course, choose the Ninjato. I'd have to buy two, one to hang, one to jack up. Always a pleasure. Till next Wednesday my friend. Slan Go Foil ☘
I'm writing you into an action script, you're going to play the cool awesome guy on UA-cam that has an arsenal of weapons and knows how to use them. The heroes will say, "We have to see Kyle", before the finale. Disclaimer: If you live in New York (my state), the movie won't be shown. So pretty cool stuff as always and you got through another video without Amanda tasing you with 1 billion billion volts. I'm going to vote, so you and Amanda, and Will have a great week, looking forward to my next Weapons Wednesday!
my favorite is the balisong trench knife, though I can't legally own or carry it here in Germany. Very cool is the splitted knuckle duster to fit around the folding blade - packs really compact. Oiling the steel nun-chaku is not the best way if you want to use it. Instead put 3-6 layers of cellulose varnish on them to keep it from rusting and still get a good grip. Will get damaged when smashing things, but ideal for 'dry' exercises. Another way would be to put on a nice patina with vinegar or mustard.
Thank you Manni! I really like the trench knife too. Kombativ manufactures a stainless steel version as well that doesn’t require maintenance, but the carbon steel version is way more popular. They use a corrosion prevention on it when it is sold, but it is a good idea to oil it before storage and then do a quick alcohol wipe before use so that it isn’t slippery. I’ll have to look into that cellulose varnish. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!
Great start to my 34th birthday especially with that last weapon. Two questions. 1. What blade sharpener on your website would be good for a ninja sword? 2. If the sword comes sharp and you never use it on a target do you still need to sharpen it at some point in time?
Happy Birthday, Brother! It must be nice to be 34! Great questions! Yeah, the blade sharpener would work on that sword, but if you aren’t striking anything with the blade, it’ll stay nice and sharp for you. Have a wonderful day, my friend!
I use for swords a Acusharp with combination with a normal ceramic sharpener and a Kyocera ceramic sharpener with the ceramic ball when the case breacks i tape it together ! That i use for swords ! The Acusharp or tungstensharpener i use usually if the blade is really blunt !
Tbh, the ninjato look really nice but the scabbard... it look like a mall ninja stuff lol. I would love a more simple drawing scabbard, a sea type colors an simpler drawing would be far better looking
I agree! I love the sword itself, but the scabbard is a little too fantastical for me. I think the manufacturers were bored and went a little too far with the design😂. Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!
That’s a good question, Geno! I could definitely see it being used for that, but I’m not sure the angle of the grind on the blade is ideal for that kind of usage. You could probably sharpen it a little differently though.
Do a "forged in fire" and give it a sugar cane test. Back when I made knives, I'd test the steel by hammering them into green oak. if they survived, they got polished and sold.
