Ive been using your ranging guide for balis to help me decide my additions to my collection, but something I think would benefit it now is the classifications of balis. Breaking things apart into sandwich, channel, or the likes, and trainer vs live blade. Square handles vs rounded handles. I think categorizing them this way would not only be fun to add but would also help those who know what they like in balisongs already

I just bought my first ever Bali (the wing) a few days ago because I just really loved the design of it and the reviews were pretty good. It should come in any day, and this video has made me so much more excited for it!

the wing is satisfying to flip, i taped the point of it so it wouldn't accidentally poke me if i mess up an aerial.

Side question (no pressure to answer) im seriously considering getting an orion LDY 1.5 to upgrade my standard squiddy but i can take a month and possibly ball out and buy one for 200+, is that gap worth it/ how huge is the difference?
Edit: i tried a balisong with more round handles, its great.
If youre upgrading from a squiddy just go for the orion. Once you get good on it then you can ball out lol, but its generally not a great idea to upgrade straight to something expensive after flipping a squiddy

I've slept on my vulp pro before. But in a literal sense. It was a warm night, it got humid, the blade started to rust a tiny bit. If you slept on ur wing I'd hope it wasn't sharpened. That wouldn't turn out well.
It's funny you mention that because I woke up in the middle of the night over break this week and found that stupid wrench cover just chilling there under my covers so I've literally been sleeping on that since this unboxing LOL
I’m kind of thinking between the Nabalis Wing and the Squiddy Swordfish. Any thoughts?
I think the wing is the more safe choose for filpping than the swordfish but if you like the design of the swordfish more then get it you might don't like the filpping of it thoungh😅
If this is your first or second Bali, based off of what I’ve heard, do not get the swordfish. There’s a good chance you won’t like it, plus overall it just has so many issues like lack of grip and pinless design which makes it lose its handle gap fast.
Unless you are looking for a very unique flipper to most likely do tech on, it doesn’t sound like the swordfish is good for you, but i haven’t tried one myself.
Sounds like I’m picking up a wing in that case. Will probably pick up a swordfish a few years down the line too. Thanks for the input.

Would the trainer blade wing chaplin better?
Theoretically yea, less blade weight means more weight towards the handles meaning chaplins should stick slightly better

nabalis is almost going TOO ham with the drops recently. they keep overshadowing themselves, first the win, then vulp pro, then canyon. people are forgetting the designs too fast, like the marbles, or the hydra.
They also just teased a new Titanium Bali on Instagram with the canyon only being ~1 month old lol
They are being redesigned to add more creativity and bring them back into sequence!
