- The song "To The Unknown Man" from the album "Spiral" by the Greek electronic composer Vangelis, released in December 1977, is one of my favorites synthesizer performances. It is for me a very good tutorial playing synthesizer. It is a great honour for me to re-perform this great song on a Moog Subsequent 37, with some reverb. The bass line is done using the Arpeggiator of the Moog, the other tracks i played one after another, using the pretty usable software "Audacity". Surely, i had a lot of fun, playing this great piece of music. Thank you very much, Vangelis {† 2022}.
Pls. find another song "Pulstar" by Vangelis here: • Pulstar (Vangelis Cove...
Vangelis may have left us but his music will live on for people like this playing this great piece of music.
Thank you! I've been driving around San Francisco listening to this album
Bravo! RIP to great Vangelis!
Beautiful memories of each of the notes of this music are in the mind of a tree that came from heaven
Thank you for a dedicated performance to a wonderful creator✌️

Magnificent and so emotional for me.
Excellent. I'm a big Vangelis fan myself and that was excellent. I know its a simple track, but you caught the feeling.
Thanks for the praise. I didn't interpret the whole song, just the part that was important to me. I also really like Vangelis' music.
Wonderful cover from the late master big like !!!!!!!!!!
And I wondered why I couldn't get my new speakers to work... Turns out: There is no sound in the beginning of the video! So I went through the ceiling at 0:25 (actually just happened). The album Spiral, btw, was for me my first acquaintance with synthesizers. A friend played the record, and the track spiral sounded. That was back in 1984 and I never lost my love for Vangelis since then. And oh man, what a wonderful job you did with this track.
Yes, the sound starts later in this video because the sound is not coming from the camera but from the Moog directly. At first I just wanted to demonstrate the use of the arpeggiator.
Beautiful ❤
Vangelis por siempre!! algo bueno tenía que tener UA-cam, mantener el legado de este griego para el futuro
To The Unknown Man, sure this piece was dedicated to himself, the true Unknown Man was Vangelis Papathannasios, one day you dreamed with the stars, today; you are with her
Gigante composición
Wow! Beautiful!
Vangelis! Beautiful, brilliant music. My big musical role model. Thanks
Awesome cover and tones man. And thanks for the introduction. Looked up this track on Spotify after watch you playing it. So spot on! I felt the same as you when I learned the 1st part of the “Chase” by Giorgio Moroder.
Beautiful. Thank you for posting.

23 00 Thank You Very Much ❤️
I’m sure this music was used for snookers frame of the day programme back in the 1980’s on BBC2
It was indeed.
Muchas gracias, buena interpretación. ...De lujo.
Butifull
Nice work. My only criticism, it would have been even better had you completed the entire piece.
Thank You. It was never my intention to play the whole piece, just the essence of it.
show show show
¿Qué instrumento usó para que el sonido sea el original?
Usé un Moog Subsequent 37 Synthesizer.
@@4viertelTakt sonido limpio maravilloso gracias por compartirlo
Vangelis Papatanousius of aphrodites child Greece
But without the second part the intention of the song is completely missing
Only the composer knows the intention of the song. I have reproduced only the part of the work that is essential to me.
Good work, however, the dynamic on the melody is missing ! Only the CS80 can do it !
Yes that's right. A different keyboard would have been better, because the Moog can be played dynamically very well, its keyboard is not well suited to dynamic playing.
@@4viertelTakt it just doesn’t have the same depth albeit the sound is very similar. But tbh it is still a brilliant cover!
Not bed
Maybe sofa? :)
@@jerzypoprawa7107 Or couch? :-)
Very close and very good, but maybe a little less staccato or ad a little bit of sustain.
I can do that with mmy Sub-37!!
I have Sub37, too. I just wonder if all those sounds are possible with Sub37. Polyphonic pad definitely not. Maybe some other instruments were also used?
