Thanks so much for this! I hated automation. This should help a lot!! Click pattern selector, click the pattern, select the macro, record the automation. Back to pattern selector, click play song. (Notes for me)
I get issues with this method. 😩 It has no problems recording the automation inside the pattern. I can see the automation graph, but when I press play, it does play the automation. If I press in the patterns section at the top (so that the track greys out), it plays it the automation. In standard play mode, the automation does not play for me. 😭
If anyone has similar issues, try freeing up some hard drive space. I was nearly full. I’ve cleared about 100gigs and the automation works WAY BETTER now. 😊
