I know this is four years too late but you normally would place the ring right below where the water line is depending on how much formula you are mixing at a time so that the mixer does not go above the water line and add air (bubbles) to the formula
Would this work with soy powder? Soy tends to be very lumpy and I've been getting a hard time mixing it for my little one. When the formula isn't mixed properly it causes constipation.
I would boil and cool then use that water to mix and warm each bottle when ready to drink. If you have warm formula you need to drink it in 2 hours not store it away. Hope this helps
@@rayvenhenry1908 no. Canadian health guidelines for formula is different. You can't premix it and put it in the fridge. You mix it when you need it and then you need to throw away what's not used after an hour.
@@natashatsapoitis4396 those guide lines are mostly to prevent that parents leave milk in the fridge forever. I'm from Germany and I pre mix formula and instead of 24 hours I keep a 12 hour limit for myself. I mix it in the morning then heat it up when I need it. It basically works the same as buying pre-made formula. I asked my doctor about it and he said it was perfectly safe. If you are uncomfortable or don't feel safe you can always talk to a doctor or midwife about it. Milk that has been in a bottle that the little one drank out of I do throw away when he's done.
Keep an open mind. This is needed not only to reduce bubbles, which is so important for baby's comfort, but also for working moms who need to pre-prep bottles for the nanny or any other child care giver while the baby's parents are away at work. There's a reason why formula can be refrigerated and good for up to 24 hours even if your circumstances don't force you to experience those reasons.
I thought the same thing, however, it's great when transitioning into solid food and different amounts are needed at different times. Ie 3 oz with food, 5oz between meals. This way I don't waste formula bc I miscalculated. I'm keeping ours in the fridge so I can pour as needed. It takes up much less room in my fridge. I put the empty bottles together minus lid and nipple so I pretty much pull out a bottle, pour and give it. It's also less time consuming. Instead of prepping bottles the night before, I fill the pitchure and go to bed.
LOVE dr brown products!! On my 2nd kiddo and this is the only bottle brand we plan to use.💙
How do you know where to place locking ring?

You can use any formula !
Do I boil the 32oz of water, put it in the pitcher, mix, and put it right in the fridge warm?
I have the same question

How long would formula stay good in that
Courtney dockery Refrigerated formula is good for 24 hours
All the formula I use has to be consumer within one hour of mixing.
Which formula do you use? Similac is one hour after feeding begins.

That's just ridiculous. Why do you need a pitcher to mix formula? SMH..
Hakima Floyd it helps eliminate the bubbles which causes gas. That’s why.
