Hi, you’re reading it all wrong. It 16.63 pence for over 5 hours cooking time. We have been using this machine for some time now and it’s very cheap to run as a slow cooker. We have also learnt it cooks faster than our old slow cooker. We’re all learning all the time. It’s a very good machine and very clever.👌👍
@@astrofromthevoid hi, that’s no problem it’s hard to understand how we speak never mind the rest of it. 😂😂😂😂👍 we like this machine and it’s cheap to run. Thank you for watching the video and commenting. 👋👋👋👋🏴
Looks delicious, just my kind of thing. I used to love coming home from work in the winter, to the smell of stew which I had put on first thing in the morning, before I went to work. I didn't have much to do, just thicken the stew up and add the dumpling, it can't be bad. 🤚💕👍💯💐
Hi Rosemary, we were the same mi duck. The trouble now after a big bowl of stew I can’t keep my eyes open. Wendy said I’m like a baby, she is so right 😂😂😂😂❤️😍😘👍 hi Phillip 👋👋👋👋👍
Hi Graham and Wendy, what a lovely meal, just what our want this weather. I bought a packet mix last time instead of suet and they turned out fine. I like soft dumplings and hard ones. It's handy when you can make a couple of meals so all you need to do tomorrow is to warm it up.
Hi Sandra. You are so right there. I love a good stew and the packet dumpling mix is ok. I thought we would make the video to see how it worked out in the Cosori rice cooker and it was just as good as ever. ❤️🥰😘👍
Lovely stew i made one last week but iput frozen casserole veg in just a few handfuls i always use a spoon the was a portion left over so i put it in a foil dish put the lid on and put it in the fridge and my son had it for tea tonight with bread and butter it was swturday imade it .oh yes graham i miss stews in the winter and cottage pies sonice when a stew has been in slow cooker all day and youve been out and you open the door a the smellof the stew hits you nothing nicer love to youboth fran xxx
Do like stew and dumplings when the weather gets cooler, have to have a go with ours soon, it’s getting chilly in the evening and a nice stew would sort us out, big hi to Wendy 👍👊🥰🏴🚌
Did cauliflower in pressure cooker I did 7 mins but you may prefer 8 - - I did put it in steamer basket in the water but think next time I will do it in basket on rack thst cones with it see how that goes - I bought fresh beetroot so going to give thst a go today ❤x 😊
Hi Pauline. I always prefer things steamed rather than boiled. It seams to keep more taste. I bet 7 minutes was enough Pauline as these modern pressure cookers are so good. It’s so nice to know what other people are doing. Lovely message as always 🥰❤️😘👍
The casori pressure cooker holds so much veg Graham and so quick - I’ve not done beetroot yet but if I would have done it on hob in saucepan will take ages I reckon 20 mins wil be fine I let you know x ❤️
Hi Pauline. It’s an impressive machine isn’t it. I have let you down now Pauline because I’ve done beetroot in our old pkp but I can’t remember how long it took I just twisted the top of and washed them so they didn’t bleed. I guess you do the same. They came out lovely and the skin came straight off. Good look 🥰❤️😘👍
Hi, it’s a small induction hob, the sort you need a steel pan. I bought it to take camping it’s been all over the place. Our hob works fine but I use this when I can. Loads on Amazon 👋👋👍
Looked very tasty Graham, I made stew yesterday but my dumplings came out hard as rock which spoilt it for me, think I had the mixture to dry, but did use recommended amount of water, obviously need to rethink water capacity next time. X
Just found your channel & have subscribed. Your videos are very informative & like how you show the costings via the meter. Like you (I think) I have an induction hob. I use a three tier stainless steel steamer on it cooking veg for day 15 mins. I’m wondering if the Cosori rice cooker (& their pressure cooker) costs less to steam veg than an induction hob. Thanks Dianne
Hi Dianne, thank you for subscribing. Wendy loves to see the three tier steamer bubbling away. We have a small induction hob but our main hod is ceramic. I think the rice cooker and pressure cooker are cheaper to run but I’ve not done a direct comparison.the main reason I think this is because the ring is on all the time and the two cookers are not. They run very quiet with very little steam as you can see. 🥰😘👍
@@grahamgetsabout2672almost bit the bullet & bought one last night but wondering if you can make porridge WITH MILK in it. I have a Yum Asia rice maker & it says only add water to make porridge as you could get a boil over using milk. Thanks Dianne
@@grahamgetsabout2672thanks Graham yes it IS very easy in the microwave. Not succumbed to daily porridge yet (a cold weather/winter breakfast for me) however I’m stocked up ready with 2 boxes of Quaker Oats! Enjoy your day. Dianne😀
I'm not posh, but I go to Waitrose for my vegetables. - Their loose vegetables are excellent quality, you can pick and choose which ones you want, and the checkout ladies never query why all my parsnips have had the unusable thin ends snapped off!
Hi Nigel, that’s had me laughing mate. I can just see you snapping the ends off 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Wendy said she uses the whole thing, when she stopped laughing. 👍
Hi bill you can have pearl barley if want, you can put a pair of old slippers in if you fancy it mate. 😂😂😂😂😂😂👍 I hope that made you smile like it did me bill🤪
I'm so confused about your meter, are you saying it cost you almost 5 pounds an hour to use your rice cooker??? 😂😂😂

Really lovely, Graham. Actually, it's very good for you, too.
Wendy has always done fantastic stews. I used to do the chopping but now I’m just the cameraman who losses footage quite often 😂😂😂 thanks Philip 👍

@@grahamgetsabout2672 that’s the way to do it, and usually better next day too,👍👊
Hi both ❤ that looked so good - with an empty plate at the end Graham it must have been soooo tasty - keep the winter warmers coming ❤ xx thanks both

That stew was lovely Pauline. We all love a stew when it’s cold. The weather was horrible that day. 🥰❤️😘👍

Hi sue, it does have the slow cook function. It’s turning out to be very versatile 🥰❤️😘👍

Hi Jo, I’m not sure what’s happened there, you could be right. We sometimes have cobblers instead of dumplings, they can be a little harder. 🤷♂️ ❤️😘👍

Lovely, you might use a bouquet garni and bay leaves for more flavour 😊
Hi Anne. Thank you we do sometimes have a bay leaf I guess we forgot. Wendy wasn’t keen on bouquet Garni. 🤷♂️ 😘👍
Hi Graham they say that Rome wasn't built in a day but you can make a stew. all that was missing was the crusty bread (home made of course)😊
Hi Paul, your right there mate. It might have stopped me eating to much stew. We had a busy cold wet day and that stew was just the job. Thanks Paul 👍
Yummy!
Hi Lisa, mums stews are always good ❤️🥰😘👍
looks so yummy11 and such a good price

No pearl barley ?
